Does it have a table of contents? so you could skip to the chapter you wanna read?..
if so I'd flip to who i would spend the rest of my life with, and avoid it so the outcome of my life would be different
"MIND FREAK!"
Only Yin Can Be This Cute(:
I'd skip ahead to the chapter where I'm reading about myself skipping ahead to the chapter where I'm reading about myself skipping ahead to the chapter where I'm reading about myself skipping ahead to the chapter where I'm reading....
...still a better love story than Twilight?
It seems like there are no rules to it so I assume that if I read it I will know my future and somehow be able to alter this future. Im also gonna assume that it wont have a great effect on the future and my surroundings as some time travel fictional material include.
So... I will possess the knowledge of my entire future life. I guess the big question for me is, even if I knew that my future would turn out badly because of current bad habits, would I change them? Would I be utterly transformed and regain a new sense of motivation and drive? Honestly I do not know... also the thought of knowing exactly what would happen in my life would kind of take away the charm of it. Where would the sense of wonder and surprise be? How could I ever live in the present and be focused on the now when I have in my mind what will happen, where it will happen and when it will happen. As boring and uneventful and unsurprising as my life is, I think that it would encroach on my life alot, it would maybe even be a little frightening.
Also I can imagine, if I knew that I would die at age 90, that could take away from the sense of mortality. Hey I got a whopping 70years left, there's no rush...
No... is my answer, for now... if I were confronted with it now I would say no. I dont think its worth it...
Btw @SuXrys very nice thread! I hope we get some more serious answers and the reasons behind them since its a very interesting question.
Yes, I would. It'd be interesting to see how my life turns out.
>>Enter My World<<
Thanks to Ms Lucy for this awesome, funny gif.
The person that you are now is not the person that I used to know. You're becoming a stranger that I've never met before. Not liking the change though.
Why would I want to read a book about a fat guy crying and eating ramen for 40-60 years before a hereditary heart attack and/or gazelle attack kills him?
Less is more.
That's a hard qeustion.
I think I would read only until the part in the book I get the book. Then as my life proggresses I can read over events after they happen. I don't want to know what will happen, knowing myself I'll try to change it. And I'll regret it. I'll try to avoid any pain that may come my way and possibly rob myself of something amazing in the prosses. And sitting here now I know that somethings are worth the pain they might bring. I can't do that to myself. So I'll only review the past and gain a grater insight to the world that surrondes me.
I'll read only the last page.
i wouldn't read it. cause if i do, i will be conscious of what's happening and might do something stupid and alter the future. or, readng it would be a good idea. so that i can alter my future and that person would give me another book. haha ) now i'm confused. >.<
.:: しーん ::.
I would not read it, but I would keep it.
It would nice to know that you always have something that you can rely on in times of crisis.
Though wouldn't receiving that book possibly alter your life?
i.e. You think about that book & miss your bus, making you late for work, making you lose your job or meeting someone integral to your life.
So does the book tell you about your life while taking into account what will happen after you've received the book, or does it tell you about how your life would've progressed if you had never received it?
Gazelles really? hahahha XD As for your life thats a very negative view of your future :o

Thats the beauty of digging into time travel, time, future, past and all these things xD Nobody knows! haha ^^ Very fascinating stuff =P
I hate reading books, so I'll probably stop after a few paragraphs and say "cool story, brah!"
Well,i'm a very curious person,But i prefer to not read the book.
Life is full of surprises,And i like to keep it that way. :3
I got it!
The book's content changes each time you try to reading it!
And it always starts with "after reading the book you changed the course of your life into..."
So reading the book is useless, since the content becomes obsolete the moment you observe it.
....would still read it, to learn about future inventions, disasters, enjoy some drama etc.
Not only would I read it, I would rip out pages I didn't like and replace them with pages where I turn into a robot and conquer the world.
I imagine the last couple of chapters to be like those future scenes from Terminator 1, where the robots are crushing human skulls under their tracks. You know, this one.
