Are there any good minecraft mods available for version 1.3.2? Also have they updated any of the good old mods to be compatible?

I'm more of a farmer/ explorer in minecraft, so if there are any mods that would allow you to grow anything else besides just pumpkin, sugar cane, watermelon and wheat that would be amazing. I tried Xie's mod but minecraft crashes whenever I install it. Also if there are any mods that change the scenery that would be great too.

I think the main reason why some mod's don't work is because I launch minecraft with the magiclauncher, which might make some mods incompatible.

So any suggestions?
