Looking for an anime I've seen

Ok, so I've seen an anime and I can't
remember what it's called. It's about this guy that looks kind of feminine, I
think, that pretends to be a travelling merchant but he is actually finding
demons and defeating them. The artstyle is very different than most
animes.

I remember an episode where there are 3 people (I think) and one
of them is a demon. To determine who gets a reward (marriage?), they play a game
where the players must determine the correct scents of some scent stuff...
another episode the protagonist is on a ship and lost at sea.

 

Someone is sabotaging the compass I think and there's this demon inside this cocoon looking thing from the sea.

The main character has a weapon, a sword I think, and his appearance changes when he uses it, kind of a 'divine' look I spose.

Keep in mind these details may be different than the actual anime...

I've looked
through a couple anime sites and could not find it >_<
