Fading voices accompany visions
Of times I've taken to heart,
The shaking of my hands parade-
Their evanescence as they depart
In toiling in the material
I have found the better days,
Lost in the memorial, as well-
As those of the amorous haze
In my loneliness I find truth
Biting harder than the beast,
A subtlety of desires caught-
In the binds of a fealty
With every impinge upon the surface
There is a shiver from the call,
From every memory serviced
I take a lesson from them all
No sooner could my heart
Release me from this cell,
Imprisoned in the labyrinth
Much like Perseus' hell
Where binds of circumstances hinder-
What I would doubt to be progress,
They suggest flint and steel for my tinder
For a fire thought to be flawless
The embers die out over time
No flame can last forever,
So what I seek is preposterous
But I feel it should come together
Might these memories guide me
With their fading light,
Then perhaps I will be satisfied
When the time is right
