Ever heard of the Super Mario Super Show?

It had a live action segment but was mainly a Mario cartoon, and had some Zelda segments too.

I remember it; it aired along with Captain Nintendo or something like that.

It was always pretty funny if cringingly normal of its era in terms of its animation/script/humor. I did have a video with two of the episodes on (one episode where the mario bros got shrunk by a shrinking potion, the other ... I think had something to do with crocodiles that would eat everything).

Oh poor, poor King Koopa.

I remember I used to watch this all the time every weekend when I was a kid.

I watched it a lot, it was fun at that time, now, well I haven't watched it since I was a kid but I suspect like a lot of stuff from when I was a kid that this won't be as fun as it once was.

used to love that show. Have their Legend of Zelda series on DVD

I watched this as a child as along with the follow ups such as Mario Bros 3 and Mario World. The first Mario cartoon combined elements of 1 and 2 which is why they went to 3.

Legend of Zelda aired on Fridays and Mario World and Captain N aired together.


And I own ALL of them on DVD back home.

And the opening rap frickin ruled. Blows todays rap songs out of this world.

The Super Mario Bros Super Show was very gimmicky and silly. I tried showing it to my sisters kids and they are like WTF when they watch it LOL and they play Mario!!!

I remember it...I have a ton of them saved on my drive anyway. I was a little late to the party, but I still watched the VHS ones my parents saved for my brother almost everyday.
