    I pronounce my name with an English accent but let them know that it's spelled differently to what they're thinking, because it is.

    And I don't find it offensive that people from other parts of the world pronounce their name in their native accent. I'd rather they do that always actually.

    Since I already live in an English-speaking country, I guess I introduce my name in an American English accent? :P

    But I use my English name when I'm talking to someone who's not Chinese, and use my Chinese name only when I'm talking to Chinese speakers. Why? Most Americans can't seem to for the life of them figure out how to pronounce the "x" sound ([ɕ], same as "sh" in Japanese or "kj" in Swedish apparently) in Chinese lol.

    How do you introduce yourself? Do you pronounce your name in english or in your own language? How come?
    I usually introduce my name in English since I am mostly around English speakers or if I don't speak their language lol but if I am with other people that either speak Spanish or Portuguese it's usually in their accent the same goes for Japanese. I guess because I am use to being a foreigner myself so I will just adapt to the languages spoken to me...plus if I say my name in English to a Portuguese speaker it will sound like I am butchering my own name LOL.

    Also, for all you english speakers out there: do you have anything against when someone pronounce their name in another accent then the english one? Do you take it offensive, or something similar like that?

    I don't take it offensively...they can choose to pronounce their names however they wish. Also having to learn English I know how hard it is to learn a new language...

    Well , my name is Márcio , and as i am yet to know anyone who can pronounce it corectly , when they ask "how do you pronounce that?" i say :" Just call me Mario, as in the plumber..."

    And i dont get offended by it , just kinda annoyed because to me it sounds like a pretty easy thing to pronounce

    I'm from Brazil so hopefully I'm pronouncing it right in my head haha but a lot of English speakers struggle understanding the purpose of the accents in the words. It seems simple to us but they never deal with this so it's enemy territory for them. When I try to explain to them I just teach them how to say avó and avô so it gives them a rough idea.

    Yeah , if you are from Brazil you problably have it right. I just find it weird... Its just adding a "c" to Mario , but they end up calling me Marcìô...

    I'm english and french, but my parents are french Canadian and therefore my name is pronounced in french (and german) like this: http://www.forvo.com/word/ariane/

    Most of my friends use the english accent though. Makes me sad a little. ;_;

    I use a Swedish accent with my name at all times. If I didn't and they would call out for me I would most likely not even react to it. well if there not standing in my face that is. I mean this is what I'm named after all. this is how they should say it and how they will say it. it doesn't matter where they're from. sure if they have a hard time saying it for some reason I'm not the one to make a deal out of it but it's not a hard name anyway.
