EngrishEnglish, because it's one of the top used languages in the world, German, Chinese, French, and Spanish all for the same reasons as well.
人類は調和したのか?VY2V3 = Me | Kagamine Len Act 1 = You
English, because I can't laugh at other languages the Chinese try to translate.
English, since most of the world uses it, French and Spanish since well...the same reason? XD and for me, Swedish, since I'm traveling there some time at the end of this year.
Amazing set by Ezza Obsuna ^^
The days fly by and the feelings remain
So far away and causing us pain
That's okay we'll make it through
Soon we'll get to say "I love you" ♥
For me is English and Chinese. English is a universal language, at least one person wherever you're going is bound to speak English. Number two is Chinese because you'll most likely have some kind of a business with Chinese. /a little bias I speak both English and Chinese. BD
English, as everyone else stated, since it's the most used... Also, French because I'm Canadian (also, le langue l'amour! XD. God I hope I didn't mangle that, it's been awhile). Spanish is geographically closish, and I have family there. Sort of. So I visit. Other than that I think an asian language would be useful... Japanese I suppose, that would certainly be nice what with anime, not to mention planning to eventually visit Japan for an extended period of time...
Where I live, Spanish is a big one. The meat-packing industry here in the states is a big draw for the Latino population, and it's fun to throw some of them off when you can tell them in English exactly what it was they just said about stupid Americans in Spanish...
Cantonese and Mandarin are starting to seem rather necessary given the fact that Chine is a huge creditor for American debt...
And on a smaller scale, Ebonics... We gotta stop telling people that they will never amount to anything, then they may actually try to speak little more clearly. Seriously, some people just mumble way too much, then when they slur words and drop whole consonants, it can be nearly impossible to understand...
Chinese, because they are the fastest growing industry right now.
Spanish, to talk to a majority of grunt workers *cough* illegal immigrants *cough cough*
English and Chinese will be the two most valuable languages to know now since one is one of the largest economies (that's suffering as of now...) and china is rapidly growing. However I only know english, korean ,and french
English and Chinese are the top priority ones that you should know if you plan to be a businessman and travel.
The following ones are Spanish, French and German considering that they are popular languages as well and serves as communication....You learn Spanish and you can community with one entire continent.
English and Chinese.
Then Spanish if you live in the US, and French if you plan to work for the UN.
Like everyone said English and Chinese would be the most useful.
I find it quite easy to read Spanish and on a lesser extent, Italian, just from me knowing Portuguese. But I agree, especially when spoken, these languages are completely different. So many Australians start speaking broken Spanish to me after they learn I'm Brazilian.
Senjougahara Fascination
Japanese. duh.
You can get really far on just English.
The rest depends on where you want to go.
Mandarin is important in Asia.
French and Arabic is important in Africa.
German is important in Europe.
Spanish and Portuguese is important in Americas.
Hey look, Japan made a movie about me!
For me it's English and Spanish. Being here in Texas its REQUIRED to take Spanish in high school anyway. Most people here speak Spanish. Thank god my family can speak Tex Mex, because I can understand spanish but I can only speak it to a certain extent. Oddly my family says when I was little I spoke fluent spanish... x.x
[Americanized] English & Spanish. You can find some variations of English no matter where you go, however spanish is becoming more and more popular. Where I grew up [our hispanic population was pretty low.. Like no more than 10 kids in my entire high school were hispanic.] So you'd never see any spanish. However when I moved to Orlando where hispanics are a majority. You go into walmart or some place and you have the spanish translation next to EVERYTHING.
It's insane.
