How do you decorate your house for christmas?

Some people make it an entire circus, some don't do anything at all.
What do you do? What colors?
Do you care much for the holidays decorations?

We have a tree up with colorful lights and purple garland stuff this year. We have a couple santa clause's sitting aroubd and a couple stockings on the wall abd thats about it. At my boyfriends house they have their whole livingroom full of christmas stuff. One of the little town sceneries, light up snowmen, santa, rudolfh. The majority of their stuff lights up too. Outside they have a giant frosty the snowman that changes colors and their house is all decked in lights... I love it.

We do not celebrate Christmas with the Qun. (Trees, Lights, candy canes, etc. xD)

a tree, lights on my 2story house, some Christmas ornaments on my roof and on the ground, neon under my vehicles, and lots of gifts for friends and family and others too.

We just have a pre-lighted tree with a star on top. I did have it all decorated, but my 10 month old beagle pup decided that she must keep climbing the tree to get at the ornaments. After one of my favorite ornaments got chewed up when I turned by back for five minutes, three limbs bent to snot, and the string of lights snapped in two, I said enough and put all the ornaments away.

Charlie Brown's little tree would be a nice improvement at this point...

We just tacked up an ornament on the frame of our door and put a snowman in a stocking on the doorknob XD *sigh* Christmas used to be such a huge and celebrated event back when I was younger, at least we put a tree up back then.

Back in the day we'd have a designer come and decorate my house for christmas. I mean we went all out back then. [we had about 4 trees in my house.. Probably more.. I guess 5 if you counted my mini tree on my night stand too]

Our main tree was probably about 5+ft wide and 12+ feet tall.. We always had to bring out an industrial ladder to set it up.

LOL! those days are loooong gone >_> lol.

Now I live in an apartment with my bf and his 3 other roomies and we just have a normal 6ft tree and that's it.

Since I live with other uni students we are making a Christmas tree out of wine bottles with lights inside. As the star it will be a Galliano Black bottle or if we can find a star looking one.
For other decorations we just put random stuff we manage to get off the people who are moving out.

We used to be real flamboyant about, lights and all, but now we just put out a really small pre-decorated tree just to show we care at all about it.
We may not even do that this year haha!

My dad got deco-birds for his birthday. To hang in the tree.
Our try looks so extremely scary now with some creepy black birds in it xD

My mother goes all out, lights, inflatables, the works. She absolutely loves Christmas, and this is the only time of year she really decorates. This year, She actually entered in a contest in our neighborhood and everyone says our house has the best lights on the block. I love Christmas but am a bit more toned down in the decorating aspect, I just enjoy the simpler things like a tree.
