Oh man, you have no idea. Lucky Star's audience is otaku aged 16+. You really should give it a try. everything from ep 4 onward is directed by Urobuchi (same guy who made madoka magica and psycho pass)

Sounds pretty dark. OK. I will put it on my Netflix list, although they don't have the first two discs. It will be a while before I get to it, though. I would have to find the first episodes somewhere else.
