Some people can delete their posts whereas others can't.
I belong to the latter.
Why is that?

Mods on this site have the ability to delete posts. Ordinary members like us don't.

I found this 11 days ago (kind of recent, no?) in someone's VM:
The above conversation referred to the thread called "Wolf XVII: Anime Forum Chronicles" where Member #2 was able to delete his post but Member #1 couldn't delete hers.Member #1 - 11-17-2011 07:30 PM
how did you delete your post? o-o
Member #2 - 11-17-2011 07:32 PM
Click edit post and "delete" and then click "delete message"
Member #1 - 11-17-2011 07:39 PM
I do not see this magical delete button
Member #2 - 11-17-2011 07:40 PM
Well its there... =/
Member #1 - 11-17-2011 07:42 PM
where at there? o_o
Member #2 - 11-17-2011 07:45 PM
Go to your post that you are about to delete. And click the "edit" button. The option to delete should be there.
Member #1 - 11-17-2011 07:57 PM

Member #1 and Member #2 are both ordinary members.
P.S. Sorry, I didn't want to put you guys in the spotlight, but I felt it was necessary.

No you can still delete your post....
It's just limited to certain sections. In some sections you can delete your post in some you cant.
Though you can't delete your thread on your own will though

There's probably some sort of time limit on the posts during which time you can delete them, and after that you can't.
It may also depend on whether your post is the last posted in the thread or not. Not sure, but I'm just guessing with logic here.

There are some sections where you can delete your own posts, and some where you can't. In this, the mods can sometimes be missing the ability, while Sr Members have access to it.
