So if the Silencer didn't use their ability despite there being plenty of townies (?) actively scum hunting, I think we can safely assume that the Silencer may be one of the above inactive players. If Scruffy and Yay are townies, why weren't they silenced when they're obviously a threat to the wolves?

EDIT: Derp nevermind. Just reread the OP and the Silencer can only use his or her ability 3 times. It makes sense that they would want to save their ability for more crucial points in the game. Nonetheless I'd like to hear what those I mentioned above have to say.
