People or Actions You Find Contemptible

Was just working and I encountered two of the types of people I find most contemptible, thought it might make an interesting topic.

The two types I referred to above:

- Those who engage in violence for no good reason, even if it's just too much testosterone or not being able to handle the drugs/alcohol in their system.

And

- Those who would kick someone when they're down and defenseless (even if they were the previous example).

I'm also not overly fond of people asking to be taught how to use technology and then asking the same questions over and over. I myself have a terrible memory: write it down if there's any chance of failing to remember. I'm not talking about advanced stuff neither, even simple web browsing.

Who or what fills you with contempt?

I'm pretty tolerant with all kinds of people. I understand that everyone has their own personal reasons to act the way they do. Although, like you said, people who choose to kick or harm others who are incapable of defending themselves is very distasteful. That's probably the biggest issue I would have with people. I also find it wrong for someone to automatically judge others based on their religion, race, etc. Without even knowing a person, some people feel like they are superior simply because they are Christian or Caucasian. All of us like feeling important, but it doesn't give any of us the right to look down on others for no justifiable reason just so we can get the attention or appreciation. Yeah, we may feel more necessary than a homeless person, but it doesn't mean that they're worthless and need to disappear off the face of the earth.

In short, I don't particularly admire anyone who is overly judgmental, or has a superiority complex.

Dislike? Sure. As for contempt? I think that's too strong of a word.

It irritates me when people try to act 'cool'. Two occasions this week took some years off my life.
A friend told me how he left the bar early because he was sleepy. However later he tells our group how he fought this guy and got kicked out so he went home.
A guy from Colombia was telling me how he hates the drug stereotype they have mostly because the drugs are made primarily for the westerners. This led to him asking to a friend if he done this drug to which he replies, "Yeh man I do all sorts of drugs. I blaze up everyday". I had to hold back my facepalm.

Vindictive people. I consider seeking revenge the lowest form of jerkhood.

I honestly can say the one type of person that really gets to me are the ones who are completely self centered. I know several types of people like this, if things dont go exactly their way, they will throw a tantrum, even if their way is wrong. Most of these people even manipulate others to do their bidding. I don't think there are many people I know like this, but the one woman I know can really irritate me to the point I start to announce my peeve to her, and everything gets chaotic.

I have a few peeves, and most of them I don't even bother to bring up, I usually keep my mouth shut and try to get along with everyone, I hate conflict to an extreme, its almost like a fear. if someone is looking for a fight, it bothers me, and I can't deal with it. I am an awkward person.

1. people that don't tip (waiter/pizza guy/etc)
2. people that think jersey shore/real world/teen mom/etc are great shows.
3. people that are superficial (doing stuff like paying $1k for a purse or $500 for a pair of jeans)
4. hypocrites
5. people that bully others on the internet, because they are too much of a sissy to do it irl.
6. golddiggers, or even people who think money/job is factor, when deciding who you are gonna be with/marry. (they are basically just another type of prostitute imo)
7. politicians that let money sway their opinions (sadly, that's most politicians)

People who push their prejudices upon everybody else. Especially when they're hiding behind religion by claiming it to be a "religious belief".

People who purposefully physically harm other people have no sympathy from me either.

I strongly dislike close-minded people and sheeps (people who follow whatever another is doing). Sure everyone turns out to be hypocritical to an extent, but also try to refrain from being a straight up LIAR so you can seem COOL. Oh... and a**hole types. Pardon my french.

I hate people who lie much beyond the acceptable amount.
People who complain ALL THE TIME.
People who ask stupid questions... Or if you're the kind of person who thinks there's no such thing as stupid questions then I hate stupid people. XD
People who are disagreeable for no good reason.
Anyone who puts them selves up on a high pedestal and sees them self as a better human being or thinks they're better than everyone... -___-

- Right wing politicians

People that easily become jealous. They just mad because they don't have what others have.
