My speakers are on their last leg, and I need a new set that I can use for both my xbox and pc.
I found this set, but have been getting mixed reviews.
Anybody know a good 2.1 set for 60 USD or under?

Hmmm... Been a whileSit back some time and simply ask yourself, [Link]->"Do you even lift, bro?"<-[Link]
Search Amazon for a pair of Logitech ones, they are usually good.
Being an audiophile myself, I wouldn't normally recommend "PC/Gaming speakers" for sound at all; but that being said, Altec Lansing is an exceptional brand whose speakers do a great job (for the money) of driving audio sources, and are able to handle music as well as video applications.
If you don't mind paying a matter of $1 extra for a generic 3.5mm Stereo Male to 2 RCA Stereo Female Cable to connect your XBox as well as your PC, then consider this 2.1 speaker system, as it has been reduced to under $50 from $80! The dynamic power of this system should not be underestimated -- although rated at a modest 28Watts RMS, the bass response defies its small space footprint, almost rendering the specification irrelevant. If anything, you might want to turn down the bass on this system (It includes separate, adjustable tone controls), as bass is something of a feature with Altec Lansing systems; but it's better to have too much bass that can be turned down than too little that must be boosted at the risk of distortion. Bass is not everything of course though and this system also features several specially designed, micro drivers for accurate, room-filling sound.
One other thing: don't rely too heavily on reviews for judging speakers, especially personal reviews, as there are many factors that can affect the overall performance of any speaker system -- not least, the positioning of the speakers themselves, the room acoustics, and the quality of external components (including interconnects and soundcards). It is easy to find a cheap system that seems to have plenty of power on paper; but they'll be cutbacks somewhere, and more than likely, it'll be in the quality of materials, which largely determine the tonal quality of sound.

Well there are many brands available in the market that produce the stereo speakers. Those have the high clarity sound system with the bass and many more effects. But i always prefer the Sony as tehy are the Japanese products and are pretty good in its sound effects.
