can your blood type tell your personality?

I can't believe this and definitely won't believe it. How can one's blood type ever tell someone it's personality. I believe that every person is unique. How you look at a person should not be based on his or her blood type. I know a lot of people who have the same blood type but are totally different when it comes to their personalities.

By the way, I'm an O+. Even if I didn't believe this crap (no offense for those who do), I just thought it would be fun to share. what do you guys think? do you think that blood types tell one's personality?

Turns out a lot of Japanese people still believe that your blood type can tell a lot about your character!
The whole thing started in 1927, when Takeji Furukawa, a professor at Tokyo Women’s Teacher’s School published a paper purportedly showing particular characteristics of people with specific blood type. Well, I'm AB type and it matches with my personality only partially, must be fake then

Well thing is, there are 5 traits in every category, so you will always match to at least one of them, that's probably what keep people believing (putting aside the cultural thing).

That could be the case. But still, there'll always be someone who won't match all 5 traits.

The short answer is no. I personally never bought it for a bit, but I've noticed from my observations (of those around me that, unlike me, actually talk with other people on a daily basis) that it seems to be pretty handy as a conversation starter. If it wasn't blood types, it would be horoscopes or some other such nonsense to fill up awkward silences.

No, it's complete hokum. There was some pseudoscientist, in the '70s I believe, who introduced this idea. For some reason this misconception caught on in Japan.

I know enough not to take it seriously. But in Japan, they do take it seriously. I heard that when they meet one another, it's often "What's your name? What's your blood type?" It's as if they already have an opinion of you. And it's that that I don't like. Anyway, I'm merely saying and just sharing.
