Help what anime series is this

Well I hope someone can tell with my limited memory as it was when I was little and it was around the same time as Guyver.

All I remember is that is was a dark (I think a lot of it was based in the night) anime and it had a moth or bat Woman in it who always faught with some beat guy. Again this was no light anime I think it was some of the more serious stuff.

I don't know if this is true but I think one of them got stronger as the moon came out or something.

Does anyone have a clue.

Hmm, sounds like Dragon Ball to me. Might be Dragon Ball Z though

Ah no I know Dragon Ball very well.

Damn I though someone here would know. Keep in mind the moth Woman also this anime I am talking about has no comedy it is 100% dark and serious.
