In the distant future mankind has colonized a number of other planets. To keep in contact and to keep trade routes steady large tracks were constructed between the planets. Every month intergalactic trains travel across these laser tracks from one planet to another.
These journeys are not always safe however. Due to budget costs there is very little security on the trains and dangers are always lurking in deep space. Space bandits riding robot ponies are known to raid trains. Infection is also known to break out on long journeys with no cure. Despite these dangers there is much money to be had in new colonies and temptations of wealth or simple escapism for the troubles on Earth outweigh the risks these journeys pose.


You, the player, are off to a new planet to escape the woes of Earth. The game is a light comedy sci-fi adventure. Please don't overdo the comedy with your character to the point where everything becomes lol random.
Your characters will need a name, gender, age, personality and a but of background. We'll also need to know what they look like, you can describe this or post a picture(or post both ). Lastly you get four stats; Strength, Toughness, Dexterity and Intelligence. A basic character starts with normal on all of these stats. You can change one stat from normal to good by lowering another to poor. So you can have 2 good and 2 poor, 1 good 1 poor and 2 normal or all normal.
There is a dice mechanic in the game for all major actions and combat. Major actions are stuff like breaking down sealed doors or leaping from one carriage to another. Combat is all opposed actions. So trying to convince a guard you should be let past or attacking a bandit will require dice rolls. Simply state the action you wish to do and I'll roll where appropriate and tell you if you failed or succeeded.
A good stat will give you a bonus to a roll while a poor one will decrees your roll. A normal stat has no effect on the roll.
EDIT: You can take two poor stats to make one stat excellent. This will basically be a re-roll.

History: Duke dropped out of school and left home at the age of 15. He found work in a local fast food restaurant but grew weary of it quickly. He disliked the customers and his bosses attitude as well as how the restaurant was run. After hearing about the new colonies by eves dropping on customers discussions he decided to make a life for himself there. He aims one day to own his own shop.

Appearance: About 5’7”, around 135 lbs., wiry build and short brown hair that hangs just above his blue-grey eyes. Usually seen wearing a dark blue, long-sleeved polo with a grey undershirt tucked into long, black pants with casual black shoes. Carries a medium-sized, grey leather attaché case slung over his left shoulder. He’s somewhat sensitive to jokes concerning the aforementioned attaché case.

Personality: Kind and jovial, Miles finds it easy to get along with many individuals, though he can be overly sarcastic at times and enjoys teasing those he is closest to.

History: Known as a major prankster in college, Miles had no end of trouble with upperclassmen and some members of the faculty. He began working for a loan company after graduation and ended up being assigned to the repossession department. Though the job was a great fit for him, it didn’t take long for him to get disillusioned with his profession when the company started asking him to break into homes to repossess defaulted items. Feeling as if he were little more than a thief with legal protection, Miles quit his job and chose to depart on the next interplanetary train in hopes of finding a job that utilizes his skills but does not conflict with his conscience.

History: After finishing school at the age of 16, Ronen was unemployed and struggling to get money. Ronen's job was playing a guitar in public places. Even though he was talented with the guitar, it did not bring in the money. His parents didn't want to see their son living like a beggar. So they decided to send him to one of the colonies so that he could have a better life.

Personality: Talkative if pessimistic, openly abrasive frequently offending people accidentally.
History: Logan had a tough life, Formerly a factory worker before the mechanization was total he lost his job to machines and retains a hatred of them for it. Eventually slipping into a life of crime and murder he was sentenced to death twenty years ago but fled before the verdict, leaving his birth name behind him he took the name Logan McRae after a character in a book he read in his youth. Now serving as a guard on the trains where his skills can be utilized correctly, he lives in fear of someone from his past coming back to kill him so he rarely becomes close to anyone.

Personality: She has a Gypsy Palm Reader sort of wise-girl sly, mixed with rocker-poet go-with-the-flow sort of tom-foolery. Otherwise she's a rational, logical person... When she wants to be.

History: Cassandra was the lead guitar and vocals to a once hit rock band back on Earth called "Juxtapose". They played rad riffs mixed with symphonic surrealism, marked top notch by her weaving lyrical genius. They were well off and on tour since she was 18, it was only until she hit the age of 24 that their popularity waned. Ever since she's been looking for the inspiration to continue her far-out road of poetic exploration, and has left the band to seek it out.

Her upbringing was simple, though, with a physicist father and mother in the military- she was raised for a similar path in life. As an all "A's and B's" high expectations student many were surprised by her taste in music as well as style and general demeanor. Her family didn't enjoy her choice in career after graduation, but they supported her passion as well as their reluctance would let them. They just hope the things they taught end up aiding her in her life.

As stated before, Cassandra is on her own journey of poetic enlightenment, and she hopes to find it out there somewhere in the universe.

Where in the picture he has black hair it is really bright blue. The clothes pictured don't matter much, though he has a casual lab coat that he enjoys wearing when he can go out. Candle and Torrent look the same as well.

Personality:
Jace is an eccentric person from start to finish. Conversations he has often move away from the original subject to others with little relation. Yet for it all he is a very smart person and can be a pleasure to speak to. This depends of what it is about of course. He is as kind as any other and enjoys speaking to those who are civil. Certain things however cause him to change.
Candle is a bit quiet and smiles a lot to other people. He is often looking to help others and respects what someone else has to say. He has a childish way of speaking but other then that is a nice person. A common habit is to ask how a person is feeling even if he has already beeen told.
Torrent is very hateful towards anyone who displays any kind of 'Superiority' over him or displays an negative attitude. Sometimes a person doesn't mean to do it but he will still take it the wrong way. Because of this he is viewed as having a Inferiority complex. He will lash out at people, and cares little about anything that doesn't involve him. He can be considered dangerous.

History:
History is full of people that had talents beyond their age. Those that did often found they would run in a adversary. This could be anothers jealous or envious of their talents. Or it could be themselves, often developing wrong due to missing simple things a normal person might pick up as the grow. Jace was one of these people. Whether viewed as a Curse or a Blessing he excelled in the medical fields of life from a young age.

Through all the time that his talents grew he was showered with praises and elevated through titles. Despite his average background and middle class family he persevered and used the things given to him. People recognised him and a lot of the trouble was cast aside. At the age of 20 he was already a well recognised doctor, nothing was beyond his speciality. Within the next 7 years he improved to the point that he could he was a lead doctor in everything he did. Life was grand and the future looked bright.

However at the age of 28 he failed to rescue a patient that was suffering from an easy to sort cancer. No one knew the reasons why, or how this came to be but suddenly a dark light was cast over Jace. For the first time in his life he had failed. What was more was that people began to look towards him in a negative light. It started as rumours to begin. Then he failed again. It became comments. He failed once more. They turned to criticism.

Jace didn't know how to handle it. People still came to him. They still demanded his work, his help. But instead of compliments he got backhanded insults. He couldn't process it. His whole life things were given. People spoke kindly about him. No one had ever treated him like this before. He began to hate others that looked at him this way. Looked down at him. But he still wanted to help people. The whole event began to take it's toll. Things came to a head the day of the accident.

One day a Space train became derailed when coming into port and the remains of the train crashed into the hospital that Jace was working in at the time. Caught up in the inccident Jace suffer major head injuries and all be vanished from the public eye for a year. He re-emerged, now 29 years old, to less then welcoming arms. But he was still as talented as he was, and despite his now sometimes random train of thought, he was too important to discard.

But then the failings happened again. People started noticing him acting different. He was kind and loving one moment and cold the next. People worried. Jace was acting stranger and other believed him gone mad. The failures continued. And continued. Continued.
The police then took an interest. The number dying by accidents in surgery was too high for chance, most certainly with someone like Jace. Report where made. Observations done. In the end Jace was arrested for manslaughter.

The resulting court case revealed that the stress of the incident and the accident with the train and caused Jace to break down and develop two new personalities. This was the first recognition of Candle and Torrent. One taking up Jace's kind mantle, and love for helping. The other taking up his hatred towards those who scorned him, and driving him to 'Lose' them.

Jace still had the skill and talent to help others and unless Torrent controlled him he was still the doctor without equal. Unable to deside what should be done with him it was recommened by a unknown source that he be sent to a new colony for treatment. The distance from earths media and the past was thought to be a good start for him.

Still considered dangerous, if ever to switch to Torrent, he was bound in a straight jacket, given a single escort to watch him, and sent via first class to a new world. Strangely enough, on a train not unlike the one that had caused his current world to turn upside down.

The Colours used in the names will be used to identify who is talking in what moment when I am writing.
The colour of the main body of the text is who is in control of Jace's body.
At the start of the RPG since Jace is bound up I assume that you can agree if he ever has to take a test involving his hand he will fail.
If anyone else who joins what to make his escort I am fine with that.

History: As a young girl, Samantha loved to build things. From toys to even the most complicated stuff, she would build it. At the age of 15, she applied to some of the top engineering companies though some of them initially didn't accept her due to her young age. Eventually at the age of 16, she was accepted into the most famous company (though they were also famous for being attacked by bandits, which built not only futuristic buildings but some of the intergalactic railroads and space stations of the future.

At the age of 17, she was sent to help other engineers to build one of the galactic railroads one night but during that same night, a group of space bandits (armed with swords and guns) attacked them while working on a night shift though they didn't know that a girl was among one of the engineers. When they found out that she was part of the team, they tried to attack her but she managed to find a engineer tool and use it against the bandits. After downing all of the bandits that tried to attack her, she called in help from every source and managed to get her team as well as her self out of the area for the time being until it was safe to go back.

When the whole thing was over, the company gave her extra income for helping the company to save their team. The military also took interest in her and trained her in self defense and other tactics if she was to get involved in any dangerous situations. She was also recommended to build some of the toughest and most dangerous intergalactic trains and at the age of 18, she graduated from high school and begin her career as a space engineer.

Appearance: Tall, dark guy, bald in the front, crow's feet and baggy eyes, short, messy beard which smells a little funny due to the food particles stuck on it for weeks. Wears a cheap, brown trenchcoat and ripped snickers.
Personality: Not a very good speaker, easily pissed, emits moans and grunts from time to time; picks his nose and scratches in 'intermediary' areas in public.
History: Dropped from the first floor on his head by accident, his mother left him in custody of a pack of pikeys and left; prooving to be a poor pickpocketer, he was the least favorite of the group; finished grade school by 17 and started working as a carpenter for half a year; after being fired, he retired with hobos, to a life of booze and glue sniffing. At age 27 he enters a group of thugs which teach him some mercenary skills, mostly involving snapping necks and finding the right arteries.

He wears a comisar cap (look it up if you don't know, but they are quite well known). His hair is very long, ginger and straight. His eyes are electric blue, and his face is younger than his mind. About 5''11, and very thin.
Personality: Smiley and eager to help. Often makes puns about actions he preforms.
History: he spent most of his life working in a low pay job, with no family. Orphaned at very young when his family were killed, Lance decided early on to be optimistic about everything he could.
