Dell Studio 1558

Okay, I have to ask, are Dell Studio 1558's a good machine? I recently picked one up for $60. (cheap cause the system board is dead, but I've replaced system boards before so I just have to purchase a replacement one) I just want to get some input on them from other users.

Basically, same as I do with my Compaq Presario F730. Surfing the net, working with Photoshop 7, and maybe running Sims 2. The Studio I picked up is an upgraded version of the base system.
It's just I've had to replace just about everything in the Compaq, and seems like a good time to get something else for as little as possible.

Don't see why not. Only issue I would have thought of was the game but a quick looks shows someone is actually running a maxed out Sims 3 on it.

Don't see why not. I don't think something like Dragon Age: Origins would run on it. But then sounds like you don't plan to do much gaming on it. Here's a nice in-depth review on it. Seems to cover everything you could want to know.
