That's bull. I can sit in public, be miserable, and all I get is a 3 foot buffer between everyone and myself. However, as soon as I don't want to be around people they are suddenly everywhere.

People have a tendency to overestimate future tech in terms of energy storage and use and underestimate it in terms of information infrastructure. Which is why very few people were thinking of stuff like hypertextwiki while most plebes were dreaming about flying cars and laser guns.

i was talking about the car fuel being better than jet fuel. lol flying cars would be cool but at the same time people can't seem to keep their cars straight on the road it would be complete mayhem if they where able to lift off from the ground.

Can't comment on the fuel but there's pros and cons to flying and land cars. Basics of which are planes have more space to move which may reduce crashes while cars are limited to cramp roads. Though with flying cars it'd be better to have them more like helicopters since it would remove the need for a runway.

the thing about this is that you have to look at the big picture, not everyone is a safe and responsible driver. think about how crashes are now. do you really want 2 cars colliding in the air with say? air planes, air towers? 2 other cars in the air then they have a crash landing and cause another accident on top of that. drunk flying? lol its just too much liability. giving people responsibility of something with 100hp and 4 wheels made of fiberglass with 30 air bags in it to keep you safe is still fatal. i can't imagine what a mess something with 600hp and wings would do.

Cars are dangerous. Flying cars are maybe ten times more dangerous. The typical modern government would never allow it even if all other logistical problems were accounted for.
