On April 29, 2011 Prince William & Catherine Middleton are getting married. It's all over the news. What do you think of this? Does it interest you? Will you watch?

Despite being British, I will:
1) Not watch (willingly, anyway)
2) Not get up early with the intent to watch, whether willing or not. I'll happily watch F1 Free Practice, however.
3) Be annoyed, since this wedding has messed up all my weekend plans due to the 4-day bank holiday weekend.
/anti-patriotic.
: The Game. You just lost it. :
My signature was so old it broke. RIP signature.
I plan on watching a part of it as I believe the Monarchy should be in power rather than bloody politicians who screw us over with expense scandals etc etc
I suppose I'm slightly interested because of being British but I'll more likely sleep though it.
I, being my usual apathetic self, am too apathetic to care.
Why is it that people don't pay much respect towards the Monarchy these days?
I know they don't hold power but thats because the politicians took it away and to be frank the Monarchs would be far cheaper and better than a bunch of squabbling bunch of idiots who can't decide who gets in power
I don't like or care about the fancy-and-useless people known as monarchs and aristocrats. They exist to consume massive amounts of resources and contribute nothing of value to society. They're a glorified national crisis.
A wedding is a wedding, its only special because she's marrying a prince. But sure, I'll watch if you ask me, all weddings are beautiful no matter who it is. Funny thing is, I feel like it won't be much of a successful marriage for some reason.
Idk what to really think about the relationship...to me, any relationship that gets so much publicity...is pretty much a fail. My reasoning is simply the fact that fame creates a lot of tension...it's partially why so many celebrities go through there lives with so many divorces...to them marriage is just like dating, and not taken so seriously. However, being royal and all I would assume that being given the responsibility of becoming a princess would be more permanent. The romance may fade away, but I think they will stay together for business purposes.
However...we really aren't ones to judge someone else's relationship, they might be very well in love...who knows *shrugs*
I might watch it, since it's something interesting.

I am not particularly interested in the wedding itself but more the idea of the wedding. I'm a romanticist so I'm in love with the idea that an average woman can become a princess. It's just so... I don't know. Nostalgic? I mean, when she was a little girl I'm sure she didn't think for a moment that she was going to grow up to be a princess. I think that's the part I like. I will not, though, be waking up at that ungodly hour to watch a woman get married. A wedding is just a wedding, which means it'll be just as boring as any other.
samba bamba, llama momma.
need a new set, feel free to offer. :3
All marriage is a disappointment for me. I know that only the gold digger will in that game, and most diggers are latent.
Hey Gakzul, what's up with you and your monarchs? Why not do like us Americans and not have them?
I think the monarchy is fine the way it is, the power is held by elected officials while the royals bring in more money through tourism than is spent on them. They are nothing more than a commercial enterprise and one which is being fairly profitable.
As much as the American way seems more democratic it falls down in the fact that it is run by Americans, nothing personal to the 80%(?) of AF who are Americans but to be honest i wouldn't trust half of your politicians (the republicans) with cleaning my boots let alone running a country.
I won't be watching purely cause i have other things i would much rather do like emptying the septic tank.
What is royalty based on again? Lineage? Really? You're going to put a family on a pedestal based on a "who's your daddy"? Then you're going to claim that America is undemocratic because you don't like who we democratically elected?
I'm getting the feeling you don't know what democracy is. Democracy is where your vote is equally significant to everyone else's. This means sometimes your guy loses and you have to live with it. It sounds to me that you don't really want to live in a democracy, but more like some sort of monarchy or tyranny where you decide to rule the country? I hope that doesn't happen any time soon.
