While there are several characters I really like... I gotta go with one of my own characters. But I have 3, each from the same story, that I all like. Not specifying names, there's:

- Blue haired main-protagonist. His hair is blue due to his mom being a genetically altered clone (altered to have purple hair as well). Weird hair colours are in no way common in the story. Basically just him, his sister, and some genetically altered clones (including his mom... which explains the strange hair colour of her children). Anyway, he's a pretty badass dude. Based on his looks, he could be a villain. Anyway, he manages to pull through an immense struggle. I guess there are others too, but I like this one best.

- Red haired father of main-protagonist. This dude is just a total badass. Strongest warrior that ever lived, and not even surpassed by the end of the story. Known as a ruthless demon in combat with the swift moves that look like those of an angel. Not an evil guy though. But in his short life he was more powerful than the main villain, who's more than 8 millenia old. He was also good friends with him. Main reason why I didn't pick him above the main protagonist... is because this guy dies a rather brutal death. He pretty much beats a large army by himself, then goes back home (to his wife and kids) and falls down without pretty much any power left. Backup troops encounter him, someone tries to finish him off, and then he wakes up and at blinding speed he slashes him. Then it's just a fight till the death. He has pretty much no power left and can barely thing, but he still slaughters them for most part. At some point he does lose his arm and ultimately he gets cut in half. The guy that did it goes crazy, grabs his sword and just keeps slashing him. Then the soldier continues on his killing spree in villages... the sword becomes known as a cursed sword that makes others crazy. I couldn't think of a better way to make this badass dude die.

- And lastly, there's the main villain. 2nd best warrior that ever lived, due to him having 8 millennia to develop it. He does tons of research himself, has invented tons of spells and fighting styles by himself, has steered the way society's in multiple worlds developed, etc. All for this goal, which is to create a new, beautiful world. He has a lot of things going on at the same time and isn't afraid to get his hands dirty. Although, even to his underlings he doesn't say much about what he does when he's out. That's because this guy is pretty neutral. He plays a bad guy role, but he tries to make sure certain people survive, even if they are his enemies. If they're lost, he drops some hints in some way to help them progress. There's a lot of stuff that makes this guy cool. Though, at the end of the story, this main villain does die.

If not for their deaths, the order of who I'd want to be would be 2, 3 and then 1. But since 1 is the only one alive at the end of the story.... I guess I'll go with 1.
