Default Motorstorm: Apocalypse delayed in US

Earlier this week, Sony confirmed that the European and Japanese launches of Motorstorm: Apocalypse were delayed, given that the game is set in an earthquake-ravaged city and thousands of people had just died after an 8.9 magnitude quake and resulting tsunami in Northern Japan. Today, Sony Computer Entertainment America confirmed that Motorstorm: Apocalypse's North American release date was also being postponed.

I pretty much understand why they delayed the game, as the game was going to release one month apart from the incident, but also if you think about it, I mean it's just a game and the game was already done of development and went gold before incident.

What's pretty funny that the article is lying as some places in Europe already have it and some places in Asia as well, and the game is also leaked so people already acquired the game. So pretty much as the game has already been exposed, delaying the game renders useless.

I also find it pretty much that some are saying that they should cancel the game altogether due to respect to the victims, just like Propeller Arena, but Motostorm is a racing game that just happens to have an stage with an earthquake.

    What are your thoughts?

Well when you told me that the game was being delayed, I thought like the game was being released like in a few days and wouldn't be released until a few days later after the original release date. It made me think, oh well I guess it's understandable, but I'd prefer it to be released on the actual release date. Then I read the article that you posted, and from what I got out of it, it's release was not until April 12th, and they are delaying that date? That's sounds like a real annoyance. People have been waiting for it's release, and were all excited that it was a few weeks til the release date, and then the company goes pulling this having to delay thing. I understand the reason, but still, ugh. I hope it's not delayed that long. >_<

Well, as long there are other games to entertain me, I don't mind. As long as they make it a lot better, I'm cool.
