Paraiso ~paradise

Ever been to paradise?!
Or what was once a paradise?
I am here at the moment
Feeling a little bit content

Embracing. Feeling.

Ever felt the rain coming?
Hearing the waves crashing.
Wave after wave,
Bringing a lot of little slaves.

Sitting. Smelling.

Take a deep breath.
Close your eyes.
Imagine the world beyond this side.
It's such a gloomy place.

But i am not here to ponder.
I am here to wonder
how beautiful paradise could be
when it is as it should be...

i am here to enjoy.
happiness is what i should be contemplating.
peace is what it should bring..
peace, and a little bit of joy.

i am summoned to a place,
surrounded by a lot of trees.
it's the sun and the sea.
all free for me...

i wanted to write the tagalog version of this one... but i doubt anybody would understand...

the Tagalog version of my poem.!?!.

Nakarating ka na ba sa paraiso?
Kahit sa lugar lang na dating ganito.
Ako ngayon ay naririto.
Nagpapakuntento.

Nasisiyahan.
Nakikiramdam.

Naramdaman mo na ba ang pagdating ng ulan,
Sa pakikinig lang sa alon sa buhanginan?
Sa kanilang pagyakap sa dalampasigan,
Dala-dala ang munting laman ng karagatan?

Nakikiupo.
Nakikisamyo.

Sa pagpikit na aking mga mata,
Lugar na tinakasan ay naalala.
Ako ay napabuntunghininga,
Doon, ay magulo talaga.

Subalit, ito ay dapat hindi iniisip.
Ako ay nandito para managinip.
Sa lugar na paraiso pa,
Hanggang sa mga susunod na umaga.

Ako ay dapat magpakasaya,
Kasiyahan lang ang dapat na nasa diwa,
Kapayapaan lang ang hihintayin,
Kapayaan at katahimikan lang ang darating.

Dinala ako sa paraiso,
Paraison napaligiran ng mga puno.
Ang dagat at araw ay para sa akin
Sa akin lang, walang kabayaran.

i liked both english and tagalog versions. it left me reminiscing my days when i just look at the clear sky in our retreat in a province and when i just stare at the beauty of nature. i grew in a city and always like the atmosphere of nature. my days in bora was one of the memorable days of my life. i really want to escape from school, stress and everything at that time. i'm glad my mother and sister invited me.
