InuYasha should reflect the Japanese culture, especially they have what Japan was like 500 years ago and in modern times, don't you think?

Pretty much no anime is about REAL Japanese life. Look at American...anything! Few of us act like the Simpsons, or the cast of Sex and the City. Anime is supposed to be entertainment, and people don't find their own lives very interesting. Also, most people don't have that hair. Too bad too.

If you want to learn about Japan of the past, try Inuyasha. The couple of episodes I have seen were pretty accurate. Naruto wasn't. Try anything from the "Feudal Era" section of this forum. But, be prepared for Shintoism, and kami (sort of like Shinto gods, but not really). Definitely not Christian.
