Need Suggestions!

Hey there sweetcheeks. I'm currently on the prowl for a good magical girl manga read. After finishing the current chapters of Mahou Shoujo Site, I figured I'd try to find something similar. (Note: Mahou Shoujo Site is not really my cup of tea, I thought it was kinda stupid tbh; though the general idea of it was pretty darn neat, hee hee).

Of course it's, like, nearly impossible to navigate my way through all the pink, frilly, happy-go-lucky magical girl mangas and animes that are already out there. In fact, I only found Mahou Shoujo Site through a post on tumblr!!

So, what I mean is, do you lovelies have any suggestions for psychological/horror magical girl mangas? Or, if there aren't that many, any suggestions for psychological/horror mangas that have a main cast of ladies (NOT ecchi, please and thank you!)?

(Also I've already got PMMM on my list, so please don't suggest that one! Thank you!!)

Psychological/ Horror Id suggest 'Another'. 'Sankarea' is about a zombie girl that isnt bad, and 'Puella Magi Madoka Magica' is a pretty dark magical girl series. Id say 'Black Rock Shooter' is too.

Thank you! I've already seen Another and Black Rock Shooter, and PMMM has been on my watch list. I might give Sankarea a try, though ecchi isn't something I like all that much.

Try Shamanic Princess. I really didn't care for it, but it is a darker take on the magical girl genre.

Yeah, Shamanic Princess is good but wasnt it just like 3 episodes that didnt go anywhere?

One series I loooove that I forgot about is Galaxy Fraulein Yuna. Also, not a traditional magical girl anime, but Project A-ko is another favorite

Just realized you said you had Madoka on your list. I sat there wondering what PMMM meant and didnt make the connection xD

Shamanic Princess is a six episode series that really made no sense to me, but it seems beloved by clamp fans.

Looking at your avi Yoko, Kill La Kill is actually really good, but it is VERY ecchi. Im not really into ecchi stuff, but this is proving to be a really good series

Yeah, Kill La Kill is a really well put together series. The ecchi may drag it down a little, but it is still very good. I'm no ecchi fan, but I barely notice the ecchi in this one due to how well made it is.
