Hi, I'm Fuukanou. I'm a mod on the AnimeLyrics site (and the forum). If you were wondering, my name is a portmanteau of the name Fuuka (as in Fuuka Yamagishi from Persona 3) and the Japanese word 不可能 (fukanou) meaning impossible. I've been meaning to give some ateji to it but I haven't been able to find a good fit.

My time with Japanese media started when I was 10 and I found a copy of Mahou Sensei Negima! Volume 4 in my local library, and they foolishly let me take it out. Gotta love people who judge books by covers, huh (must admit 10 year old me didn't expect what was inside either). I must admit, while I did read the entire series, I'm not a huge fan of manga anymore.

That got me into Japanese videogames, which brings me how I learnt Japanese: out of bitterness and spite of the Americans who used to get Japanese games in English many months before Europe did, leading me to swear when I was 10 that one day I would learn Japanese to play games before the Americans. And hey, here we are a decade and a bit later and one life goal accomplished. Always follow your vengeful dreams, kids.
Got into anime and thus anime music only maybe 5-6 years ago and since then I've been hooked, leading me to want to translate anime songs leading me to the present. I joined this site to salt up the forums with complains about the typos on my favourite songs and here we are now.
