The Art of Zanethose

well, I finally decided to start an art thread (with some encourage meant from Kitsune,) so, here it is! Let me know what you think.

Note that the second image was taken with a camera, not a scanner, so the image quality is slightly lower. Also, all of these images are rather large so you are going to have to wait until it completely loads then it should refit itself to fit your browser screen, if you wish to view it at its actual size then click on the little expand/ minimize button in the bottom right of the picture.

The first picture is done in pencil is the rough outline for the second picture. It took me about 15-20 minutes tops, maybe a little more.

The second picture is done in oil pastel and is the final image of the first picture.

The third picture is done in pencil and took me about 10 minutes. I did it in study hall a couple years ago.

Wow, your drawings are wonderful! The colors are beautifully blended and you've done a great job with those oil pastels. The third pic is also great. Nothing more to say for now, keep posting ^^

Thank you, very much! The oil pastel took me a couple of days and I smeared it quite a lot but I still think it turned out pretty good. The third drawing is actually one of my favorite ones Ive done. Definitely not my absolute favorite though hahaha. Thank you all!! Here are a few more!

The first is, obviously, a drawing of a car. Its done in colored pencil and took second place in my schools colored pencil section of the art show.

The second is, once again, obviously, a picture of flipped birds repeating. It is also done in colored pencil and while it didnt take a ribbon in the art show, it did make it in.

you know those are really good. I'm not good with pastels and thats actually really good. hope to see more.

Actually, sunset image is oil pastel, the two other colored ones are colored pencil. The only two that werent on display in the art were the oil pastel of the sunset and the drawing of the person (the person couldnt be entered because it wasnt for a school project.)

But thank you very much, I did work really hard on the Oil Pastel. Stayed up until about 2 in the morning for about 4 nights in a row working on it @.@

@gunslinger girl: hahaha Pastels are really hard to work with. They always end up smearing if you arent UBERLY careful. Ive actually worked with pastels quite a bit though, they are my third favorite medium, after all. I bet you are a lot better with pastels than you think!!

@angel alchemist: thank you so much!! I really worked hard on the blending with the Oil pastel and the picture of the car, that was my prime concern hahaha. But really, thank you so much.

So I figured it was time to add another pic or two

The first is the incomplete stage of a drawing of a wolf I did. It is done with pen and ink.

The second is the unfixed version of the same drawing. I smeared a little bit of ink above the wolf's left eye.

Ill upload the final image of the drawing once I get it back from my art teacher @.@

Oh, the wolfies are adorable! Great work. Ink is a messed technique, but once you finish the drawing it's totally worth it. I really like the shadings on their heads (or whatever that is). Keep up the great work! Anyway, could you please downsize the pics a bit? ^^; It takes the ages to open and they're pretty hard to look at.

yea, sorry. Ill see what I can do about downsizing the file sizes. The image should resize itself to the size of the browser window after it finishes loading but there arent any guarantees with that. Ill resize them once I get back to my personal computer, though, promise. If you want, you can also check them out on my deviant art account (a link is located in my signature) although that may take longer to load.

thank you, though, for the comments!!! thats actually my favorite piece of work that Ive done to date. I have to redo it though cause Im intending to give it as a gift and my mom is quite upset about it, so I have to make one for her too xD hahaha

It was the fruit of my labors of two weeks of sitting in my art class staring at the wall and then realizing the night before it was due that I needed to get it done considering I didnt even have a fourth of it done :D hahaha
