A question to the admins, do you allow thread bumping? I ask because I plan to run a weekly competition for 12 weeks and then a tournament after the competition of the winners of the competition. The bumping would be to keep the competition thread and the discussion thread afloat so t isn't as easily forgotten/not seen.
Thread bumps are not allowed by regular users, but you are free to poke the mod of the forum in question to bump it for you. Don't forget to ask the mod if you can run the contest as well. Most of us don't allow contests to be run by users alone without a mod supervision. You can usually find the rules regarding that inside forums, so check them up.
