It's no different than a male and female kissing. It's nothing special unless you're 12. Of course it's going to happen more, especially with people becoming more open-minded.

I said it in another thread. I'll say it here. You're an asshat. Seriously, we have spoiler tags for a reason.

So? The creators are probably being more open about this kind of thing, like a lot of people these days.

Or if you go to my school where half of everything that comes up is a big deal. Which can get annoying after about a month or two.
