Trying to not think something is impossible, it only makes you think more about it (this is probably the main mechanism behind OCD). The best way to stop thinking something is to accept it, and not try to fight it off. Then it will just pass you by. Thoughts are just that, thoughts. They have no impact on the real world.
I agree. It's virtually impossible because the brain is constantly working. That's why I couldn't stop thinking about numbers after having an extensive chemistry class on conversions.Quote:

I have them all the time. And I forget them just as quickly. Sometimes I interject them in conversations too 0_0
I'll be laying in bed at night and think of one thing that leads to another that leads to another which eventually turns into "How the heck dod i get here?"
which always leaves me back tracking through my thoughts trying to figure out how I got there.

I'll be thinking of mermaids which makes me think of dolphins which reminds me of this documentary of dolphins where this orca tore a Dahls Porpise into shreds which makes me think of blood, which made me think of Sweeny Todd (giggles) which makes me think of badly colored fake blood, which makes me think of hemaphobi which makes me think of Tsunade from Naruto who had hemaphobia.

I daydream about actually having a fun life like anime people have. They always have adventures and I keep thinking "what if that happened to me? And I had to save the world from the evil being?" I have lots of time on my hands and I feel very weird thinking about if I were an anime or not. I think it makes me sound obsessive with it... But then again, life is very boooooring!!!

I think I would ask a "why not?" instead of y. I even think in dreams, be it day or night.
I have them 24/7. I'm always having weird thoughts all the time. just to share a couple. Like why would anybody name a bear after poop. If I didn't have teeth would jello taste better. What are the purpose of toes? Wouldn't it be great if out heads could rotate 180 degrees. These our just a couple of thoughts that pass through my head on daily basis.
Yes. In fact, you will. Have you ever ran after a car or something and you run really fast? Well,you can only move so fast and when you reach that point, you start to stumble and it's hard to stay up and keep your balance from falling. It's fun. I remember one day I thought about if someone in my class could read minds and heard what I was saying in my head. Then I tried REALLY hard to not think of anything embarassing, but then I thought of that type of stuff anyway.
My english teacher was comparing things from one novel to another. And i tuned her out like alway. Then is started to as all these weird question about her like why does she go on and on about things. And why does she teach when nobady listens.

well, whenever i'm sitting in class, on the toilet or something, i'm thinking about questions like this:
if pretty much all humans (the exceptions being some hippies and rich spoiled whores) have agreed that paris hilton doesn't deserve the basic human right of living, why not organize a hunt on her and every single person who disagrees with these measures?
given that most of them were drunk 24/7 before they came up with the no-alcohol-after-10-pm rule, do russians have more sex than any other nation (or at least try, depite the fact they're unable to get them up), or does this rule really prevent them from occasionally regretting in the morning?
if god is all knowing and he knows what goes on in our head, why put us through tests when he already knows whether or not we'll pass them? (*cough* religion sucks *cough*)

also last night i had a dream about pandemic of a mutated strain of rabies that appeared in romania and pretty much messed up the whole eurasia, africa and (somehow) america. i was in australia at the time and the first thought that came to my mind was "omg! i'm homeless!"
