Well I think that where the story has progressed to this will cause Haise to at least let the centipede take over. He is about to be in a scenario that is going to need all of the Centipedes power. Given his inability to control is Kagune at the moment. And he can't rely solely on the Quinke to do a bang up job either.
In 2nd season, I think Kaneki's part is too short
