Well focus is off, and I'd work on composition a bit more ^_^; but you can use photoshop or similar to bring the colors out a bit, and sharpen the images some. Also for the flower image, if you get closer to it, or angle yourself so the fence isn't right behind it, you may get a better result.
Agreed with Kaitou Ace. If it doesn't work just shooting, you can try to edit it in ps. But, work on the camera, the angle. And there should be some blurring effect when you shot, probably the adjustment/scene.
What kind of equipment are you using?
i like the first one, i think the flower stands out a lot.
The only equipment I used was an hp photosmart 435.
It's not bad. But for the first photo, the background [ie. fence] is a disturbance to the nice flower.
Another than that, it's fine.
A bad camera can limit you technically, so composition becomes the most important thing ^_^
Try working on something like the rule of thirds and focus on composing an interesting shot. While a better camera will give you more creative control and power to provide a technically superior image, good composition can produce a much more interesting image. Don't just center the subject of the shot in the middle, but work on making a statement with the image, and use elements and positions that draw the eye.
I am aware of the rule of thirds, only problem is these were taken before I knew about it. =P
lol alright then
