Game Of Thrones TV Thread (Spoiler free)
http://media.comicbookmovie.com/imag...0poster%20.jpg
Oh you knew this would come eventually and as Season 2 is only a couple of days away I thought this would be the perfect time to get started on this thread, but still, welcome to the official Game Of Thrones TV show thread (spoiler free)
This is the thread where the people following the epic tv show Game Of Thrones can discuss the show without worrying about spoilers, so remember guys, some people (like me :P) haven't gotten to read the books yet so no spoilers from the books here, other than that I'd just like to wish you all good luck with this thread.

Season 2, come at me.

Also, discussions threads have spoilers, otherwise what's there to discuss?
Don't make it spoiler-free.

Re: Game Of Thrones TV Thread (Spoiler free)
Yeah but like, if it's the tv show we're going to discuss don't come at me with what person is alive in book 3 and how you're looking forward to seeing that person or stuff like that, basically, discuss everything about the tv show, but I'd like it so that people don't discuss what happens in the books, spoil the tv show all you want, if you go into a thread about GoT season 2 and haven't watched season 1, you better expect to be spoiled.

Re: Game Of Thrones TV Thread (Spoiler free)
What is there to say?One of the best shows on TV and S2 looks awesome.

Re: Game Of Thrones TV Thread (Spoiler free)
Wonderful and brilliant show!! When exactly will the new episodes come?
-
Re: Game Of Thrones TV Thread (Spoiler free)
April 1st, I believe. =) I'm really excited about the new season, the first one had me completely hooked.
-
Re: Game Of Thrones TV Thread (Spoiler free)
I was thinking of giving this a go but I heard there are alot of rape scenes in it so it put me off from watching it.
Is this true?
-
Re: Game Of Thrones TV Thread (Spoiler free)
I wouldn't say rape scenes, but there are quite the lot of sex scenes included in the show.
-
Re: Game Of Thrones TV Thread (Spoiler free)
The books are a million times better than the TV show. I wonder how they will make the battles with such a small budget.
-
Re: Game Of Thrones TV Thread (Spoiler free)
More like an "I'd really rather not but okay then" sex scene.
The rest is totally consensual sex.
Otherwise the show is pretty much stupendous. Best thing on television in my opinion, hands down. You're missing out big time if your not watching it........

Re: Game Of Thrones TV Thread (Spoiler free)
So... I just finished the first season of GoT, and this is the only thing I have to say.
That is all.

Re: Game Of Thrones TV Thread (Spoiler free)
Time to watch the two newest episodes... Here I come season 2!
But before doing that... I just have to say that I am completely in love with the shows intro - thank God they havn't changed that one for something else! I can just look at it again, again and again without getting tired of it. I adore the music and I love how everything in the intro is... How everything grows out from the map and... oh well... I guess we can simply say I'm a fan of the show. ~
Haters gonna hate - but here is a part of one of my loves:

How small budget do they have? Shouldn't they have got more money now, isn't the show quite popular after all?

No, not really.
It's a really good show so you will miss out on something good if you don't watch it. (Yes, I am not impartial in this~).

Well , for the first season they had a budget of 5-10 Million , but the first season was easy since there weren't a lot of different locations nor a lot of different actors. At the same time , there were no battles in season 1 , which is going to change in season 2. I think that all these factors will add a lot to the budget...
Tough ill be honest , i would prefer if they had made movies instead of a TV series...

Do you know the budget for season two?

Not me! Not all at actually. Since it's episodes, and one episode is usually around one hour long - we get to see so much more then we would have if they would have done movies instead. More time on the screen: the happier I'll get.
-----------------------------------------------------------
Talking about "something else" I somehow came across this video on youtube (where Peter Dinklage wins an Emmy)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iu8pSihUJvM&feature=related
and in the commentary field I read that someone had written: A Lannister always wins his Emmys!! and that made me laugh.
That comment was brilliant. ~

Re: Game Of Thrones TV Thread (Spoiler free)
Peter definitely deserved that award, he's done a magnificent job in the show!
1st episode of the 2nd season was good aaaaaaaaandddddd the 2nd episode comes out tonight. Can't wait. :DDDDD
Also, going back to what @SuXrys said, I'll have to agree with her that I'd not be a very happy camper if they had turned this into a movie instead of the TV Show. There have been roughly 11 hours of screen time and yet they have managed to still not capture every detail from the books; don't get me wrong, they've done a wonderful job so far but a movie would've never been able to compare.
-
Re: Game Of Thrones TV Thread (Spoiler free)
Have to agree, people compare them to the LOTR movies, and I have to say, I prefer GoT tv series over LOTR movies though it's not really a fair comparison, I just feel that with a tv show that can run for so and so many seasons there is just so much more to capture that a couple of movies are able to do.

Yes exactly. I think movies would have been more wanted from my point of view if they hadn't made this tv-serie as good as they now have done, right now I'm just glad that we will get to see so much of the show! If I have to be completely honest I havn't read the books yet (had heard about them before but not read them), but I'm planning to do that now. The only problem for me is that they are already borrowed out at my local liberary. Baah... seems like I am not the only one who have been won over by this show. ¯\(°_o)/¯

Hahah! Look what I found! xD
(If simpsons are even making a intro like this... then we know this show is popular)

A third season is confirmed now. *approves*
-------------------------------------------------------------
Here is another thing that I found. It shows the different land areas and who owns what. It's a detailed interactive map over the land (the world) in the show for the ones who are interested. Shows how it looks so far in season 2. If you arn't updated on season 2 - don't click on it (since you can read different things there besides just looking at the world, like click on different places and read about them, see the family trees exc). http://viewers-guide.hbo.com/game-of...as-of-control/
