What would you have in your Zombie Survival Backpack?
I probably take this too seriously. I'm considering carrying around a zombie survival back pack at all times, everywhere.

food, because thats all my gun loving friend told me that i should bring to his place if the world goes to hell or zombie outbreak etc... lol, my list is pretty easy
I have a multi-tiered system of satchels to carry. I would take a small pouch with some jewelry and small sentimental things in it (just in case). I would have one bag dedicated to water (and one of those Brita filter water bottles) and one bag dedicated to food. Another bag would carry a small tarp, some flint, a heavy duty knife, candles and flares, some rope, extra bottle filters, a few extra clothes, extra ammunition, and a more-than-basic first aid kit. I would have another bag that was easily accessible full of ammunition too. It's a lot to carry, but I also plan on stealing a horse to ride on. They are faster than zombies and are easier to fuel.
I would bring Eris. Zombies instantly die. No problem.
Plenty of food, water, weapons, ammunition, flint/matches/etc., mp3 player (for that epic zombie slaying music), maps, my phone (to contact specific people until the power grid fails), compass, and some sort of journal with apropriate writing utensals.
I wouldn't have a pack. I'd just put tons of treadmills around the outside of my house.

Two hot zombie slayin chicks, a talking gunwielding monkey, food and a magic gunblade.
a bottle of moonshine and a cigarette lighter: improv flamethrower and anesthetic.
All I need is a chainsaw, nothing else.
Water, water purifiers, food, maps, compass, rope, lighters (the magic wand ones because... they... look like magic wands), pain killers (the good stuff), bandages, matches, blanket/sleeping bag (or better yet, a thick cloak - multitasking!), candles, flares, tarp, and ammunition..
And then, hmmm... A glaive or spear, grenades, knives, and a couple guns for back up. Though I wonder how well a bow and arrows would work against zombies... if the ammunition was easier to find/carry that would totally be my choice weapon.
Oh, and my baba's cross necklace, of course! I may not be religious, but I'm not against carrying one around just in case. Plus you know, given by a family member.
I would let them get me if they had the zombies I wanted...
My weapons, food, bicycle, and MP3-Walkman (w/ its USB/AC-DC recharger). I mean I'd hate to have to leave behind my computer, but knowing what'll happen, I'd have to leave it behind unless I could find something to attach to my bicycle to carry it.

Well I have my bug-out-bag ready (my camping equipment), in the case of Zombies I'd grab it and a few extra weapons. Guns are heavy and run out of ammo to quick so I'd probably go for the sword. Either a Katana style or a Klingon Bat'leth with a Meq'Leth backup.:cool:
Of course if I were home at the time I'd make a stand there. Gots plenty-o-firepower there plus more importantly a garden and woods to hunt in and collect firewood nearby. Can't survive too long without food, and after the power and such is gone well those grocery stores won't be open either. Two wood stoves to keep the house warm in the winter and to cook on without power... yeah in another life I'd be Amish or Native American people say.
