My guess is that it isn't top priority. I'm no admin, but my guess comes from the recent work being done on AnimeGlobe and how it wasn't priority up until a month ago. Plus, staff is busy so its hard maintaining a website and working on those sister sites while having a life. Maybe AnimePedia just needs someone to maintain it?
Probably have to take to @Gjallarhorn about it.
Um, then can I ask something? What IS AnimeGlobe, exactly? the About page doesn't lead to anything so I assume it's still under construction, but after browsing through the homepage I still don't really understand what it is...
AnimeGlobe.Com is a basic news and current events for anime and anime related things (like cons). There's news articles, reviews, press releases, info and stories about conventions happening or that have happened, as well as being host to some other find things.
Doesn't even seem to be much on the site. As unfortunate as it is it might be best to take it down seeing as there are already plenty of such wikis out there. There's simply no formatting or structure to the site and no easy way to navigate it. At this point it would take a massive effort from a large group of people which wont be an easy thing to do.
Animepedia was intended to be an anime-focused wiki, and beginning in mid-2007 or so I was was made moderator of it, and spent a fairly large amount of time creating articles. Unfortunately, there wasn't good input from the community. A lot of what was posted was spam and user pages. Those that did make series or character pages were often filled with the extremely biased opinions of the submitters and required heavy editing which I was unable to do if I hadn't read or watched a given series. This was also during the time I was starting college, and had less and less time to put into it.
As GameGeeks said, it was and is something that required a fairly large, dedicated group to give it a good start in the right direction; it never had that.
If you'd like to get involved, and others as well, we could still make an effort to jump start it.
I can give it a shot too but it'll have to wait at least a month since I'm currently in the process of moving to Kansas. So my free time is currently spent packing.
If I can help, I'd be glad to join in the effort! I don't have that much free time either, but I hope I can at least try to help ><
