We are NOT hijacking a cruise liner, for the simple fact of the matter if we do somehow manage to get it out to sea what then? We run out of fuel and then we starve to death or die of dehydration
Or we can take the boat, head to a small island in the Caribbean, and then live out the zombie-apocalypse there by living on coconuts and fish.
And rum, there is always hidden rum at small islands in the Caribbean.

theres no need to take it out to sea. Just a 2 or 3 miles off of a coast. If the main engines are not running, the fuel reserves will be able to supply power for literally years. Zombies cant swim. And its easy to defend against other people. Its literally a floating castle. And it'll be stocked with enough food to last well over a month for 4000+ people. meaning it'll fatten up a group 8 for at least as long as the fuel lasts if not longer. Since its in no danger from attack, and large enough to brush off any bad weather, its a perfect platform for your solar panels. Theres also comfortable beds, and tons of other stuff to help keep the mind occupied and sane. tbh, a cruise liner would be a luxurious way to live through a zombie apocalypse.

If that was the case I'd rather be on a gunship so at least I could raze everything in the surrounding areas to the ground nice and easy to make sure no one is creeping up on us

well if the ship was about to cast off when the apocalypse started, it might have enough food stuffs for a small group to last months at sea. whenever we got low on supplies we could make port and scavenge.

gunships are small though. And i can tell you that there a few things less comfortable than a Navy warship. Why not turn the cruiser into a giant gunship?
then again, a carrier or sub would have fuel to last 30+ years. And i personally know how to run and do maintenance on them. So that'd not be a bad option. To make it even better (since you were talking about leveling stuff on land. A SSBN has all them nukes on it.
You made me team leader? I appreciate it.... but I'm no leader.

@Albear Complaining are we? Don't want to be the team leader with massive responsibility now do we? ... Well, I'm most sorry sir but you don't have a choice in this matter! I have already picked the team so you have to be the leader in this one, wheater you like it or not. But not to worry, I am sure you will do just fine.
Because it's not like we all are going to die if you can't handle it~ Or will we?
Give me a good gun, and I'll be your medic. I want in on some of that action.
PS: I got a pet peeve of touching other people, but I'll see what I can do.

Re: Your Zombie Apocalypse Team
The only problem I see is when we're on the move at the start whilst we're setting our establishment up. Once that's done and after killing a lot of the walkers we can just use them to build a wall if need be, might smell a bit but at least it would be easier to defend.
