Not sure if there's already a thread like this; I searched for one but couldn't find it. ;>>
Anyway, here's how it works: You're allowed 1 post a day; each post will add a point and subtract a point from a member. Each member starts with 10 points; when you hit 0, you lose. Last member standing wins. I think you know what I mean by now.
10 people max for simplicity. Just post saying if you want to play. Game will begin when we get 10 people.
You may vote once every 18 hours; it does not matter what timezone you're in, it just has to be 18 hours from your last vote.
You may not vote for yourself.
Posting format: Basically, the game starts with the original 10 users who sign up, each with 10 points. From there, the list is copy-pasted from the user who previously voted. Example:

For eliminations, simply copy the above users list, but remove the player who has been eliminated. Continuing from the example above:
Yeah, this game is called "Hurt and Heal" and not "Elimination", but I suggested it but it didn't make it. =\

I've seen a lot of forums call it "Hurt and Heal", but I figured that Elimination Game sounds a lot better seeing as the objective of the game is to be the one who isn't...well, eliminated. :P
Also, thanks for the sticky, Eris! Can I assume that you're signing up then? :O

Re: Post Game: Elimination Game
Is the timing for this EST / EDT? (you guys are in EDT right now, right? I'm still on GMT over here ... :/)
Also the OP doesn't fully explain how exactly the game works i.e. precisely what I have to post. Do I have to make a list of users? Or just post something random?
(this is not me confirming entry ... just curious as a cat.)

Not sure what you mean by timing. If you're referring to the "one post per day" rule, you're only allowed to post/vote once each day (example, I can vote at 7:02AM on Friday, and then at about 3:00AM on Saturday.). Technically, you could vote at 11:59PM on one day, and at 12:01AM the very next day, but then you wouldn't be able to vote for 23 hours and 59 minutes. Hopefully that answered your question.
I'm going to make a revision to the rules now, but basically, the game starts with the original 15 users who sign up, each with 10 points. From there, the list is copy-pasted from the user who previously voted. Example:

Ranshiin, it doesn't matter. What he means is that you are only to participate in the game once a day (not a 24 hours cycle).

I know that I can participate once a day, but I meant by my question the timezone being used that counts as "one day."
For example, since I'm in England, I could post 11.59pm my time, then 12.01am my time, and in my time I would be adhering to the rules. However, in EDT those same posts would be 7.59pm and 8.01pm respectively, which would mean I wouldn't be following the rules.
So tl;dr, I post once per AMERICAN day, yes?
I also still don't understand specifically what I post. A list? /confused

Re: Post Game: Elimination Game
Okay, I know what you're talking about now.
DJ, what about changing the rules to 18 hours gap instead?
And I thought it was single, just copy paste the list and you add and deduct of two different members. You can't add and then subtract to the same member.
Like this..Original post:
Member 1 - 10
Member 2 - 10
Member 3 - 10
My post:
Member 1 - 11 (+ 1)
Member 2 - 10
Member 3- 9 (- 1)
Your post:
Member 1 - 12 (+ 1)
Member 2 - 9 (- 1)
Member 3 - 9
So copy, paste, deduct & add. Simple.

Ahh. I see. I think I'm going to implement Kaitou's idea of an 18 hour gap between votes, then, as it'll make things MUCH easier to track. So now what'll happen is, you can vote once every 18 hours. This way, it doesn't matter what timezone you're in, as we'll still be able to see the time between posts. Sorry for the confusion >.< (and thanks Kaitou for the suggestion!)
You're going to copy-paste the list that the person above you posted, changing in the values for whoever you're adding a vote to and whoever you're subtracting a vote from. If someone gets eliminated, the next person will remove them from the list (as outlined in the original post).

Re: Post Game: Elimination Game
You don't need to change the times for the votes; I was just making sure about the timezone being used; though I admit it's rare for me to be still awake at midnight EDT, I do actually run on an American body-clock (regularly go to bed 2-3am) so there certainly won't be any problem with me sniping someone.
Also, I presume you can't vote on yourself?
I'll give this some thought. I'm going to be up until like 5am watching Australian GP practice anyway, so O_o. Real talk.
