RPG: Nightmarchers
It’s a beautiful day in paradise, Lanai Island in Hawaii.
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...theastern_.png
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s..._lanai_map.gif
You’re at (or near) the Manele Bay resort on Hulopo’E Beach sitting on the south side of the island.
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...elsideview.jpg
The resort is having a rare party today with a far lower fee than would usually be required to use their facilities, drawing in a larger and more diverse crowd than usual. Many people are coming over from their homes, hotels, or cruise ships on the other islands for the day.
Some of course would also have rooms there

There is a lot to enjoy: The pool with its hot tubs.
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...le-baypool.jpg
The dinning area, normally fairly formal, has been replaced with a dance floor. The DJ is trying their best to gracefully blend between slow dances, to pop, to techno, to local music.
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...oax/dining.jpg
There is also some poker and of course all the bars are active. Pool tables and dart boards are set up. And a side area has karaoke.
To the north of the hotel are woods and quite trails. To the south east is the beautiful beach. Full of people sunbathing, body boarding, sailing, swimming and so on.
To the south west the beach gives way to taller and taller cliffs, getting to have quite some height by the golf course there.

Most players should ideally be in the main building where the bulk of the party is (the red number one below)
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s...rtmarked-1.jpg
Legend:
1 main building
2 fitness and activity center car rentals
3 conference center also has number of museum like displays
4 golf course clubhouse
5 Maintenance and infirmary building
7 and 6 guest wings with “normal” hotel rooms with wonderful balconies
8 private villas
9 golf course groundskeeper shed
The weather is perfect this afternoon. Warm and breezy with only a few white clouds in the sky. and the locals and staff you’ve met have been so friendly, what could spoil such a night?
------
Initially, and for a little while, everything is “normal”. You can do what you’d like. But I’d advise having some fun and meeting some other players.
And again, this is a fictionalized version of the location, but I hope the visuals aid in understanding the area and communicating actions.
---
On posting and problem solving.
There is a dice based mechanic behind this game as opposed to me just deciding things. However it isn’t meant to overly stifle you. Within reason you can add NPCs to talk to, or find things that would be expected in a room and so on. Karma, as described in the sign in thread, can be used to tweak things if you think it improves the story, and might be taken if you overstep, use OOC knowledge or something like that.
Dice might determine how effective your actions ultimately are. Or how well you notice other things or fend off an ambush etc.
I may elaborate here if that’s clear as mud.
I’m always trying to be welcoming to new players. So feel free to PM me if you’re having any problems. Your posts don’t have to be elaborate and long. Though optimally you wouldn’t be putting out one-liners either. If you feel your post is short consider elaborating on the scene, or what your player is feeling or thinking.
Players have a habit of locking up in dangerous situations if the way forward isn’t clear. I’ll try and help with that. However in order to prevent things from locking up, if you haven’t posted or PMed me for four days time advances, which could be bad. Also I may give a little bonus to dice rolls if you respond quickly.
In any case hopefully you all find this fun and ultimately challenging.

Derek, had just shown up to the main hall, it looked like everyone was just finishing getting set up. He he decided to look around. It looked like he was the first one to the party, Which is odd, because he is usually late. Derek Looked around, to find one of the workers walking around. He walked to the worker and poked him on the back."Um.... am i early?" he said trying to not sound like a fool.
The worker looked at him." Not at all, were just running a bit behind. getting the DJ stand up, Mind giving us a hand?" Derek nodded and decided to help the people with the Dj stand.

Chloe was sifting through her paperwork and continuously trying to contact her partner, Kevin. Once on the phone with him, she started talking about a case she was pushed off of.
"Ok, so I looked through the documents, an-"
"Chloe, youre on vacation. Knock it off. Get some rest and Ill talk to you later ok? Goodbye."
He hung up on her, which only caused her to huff up.
She left her room and went down to get a drink to calm down a bit

The taxi pulled away and Tace shoulder his bags... he didn't have much with him, he was the type to wear the same clothes for days at a time and with no one around to reminded him to change his cloths everyday he didn't need all that much luggage. Aside from clothes he had little else, no books, games or anything of the sort. He didn't want to be distracted by pleasure or fleeting things. He wanted to think... to see if he could forge some meaning in this life where pain was swift and pleasure swifter.
Walking towards the main building, he sighed. There were people milling about looking for their various nothings. He nodded and smiled at those he met eyes with and they returned the favor with ardor. New place same people.
He walked up to the woman at the front desk. A middle aged woman of island descent, she looked up at him and a vague spark split across her eyes. Interest. Tace new that expression well, he never failed to see it in others.
"Hello ma'am" he said with a friendly grin and a gentle wave of his hand.
"Good day sir, How can I help you?" the reply was polite and genuine.
"I should have a reservation under Chrysotom"
She nodded and looked it up on her computer. Her head bounced in a understanding nod when his name appeared, "Mr. Tace?"
"Correct."
"You are here for two weeks correct?"
"So I am told" he said with wistful humor.
She smiled and chuckled under her breath. She looked back and got his key, "You are in room 103. do you need help with your bags?"
" No thank you ma'am that is all" He nodded his head respectfully and departed looking at the key in his hand. 103? He had a bad feeling. 103 looked suspiciously like 13. Well, come what may he didn't care. Perhaps it might even stir him from his annui.

There are days when a man has to keep himself in check and make sure nothing bad happens...Today was not one of those days for 27-year old Lucius Brule. Being held by the barkeep he screamed,
"Let me go! I'm going to rip that scrawny, little bastard to shreds."
It turns out the sniper was quite angry. It's not like he could help it though. Without his pills to tide him over, he was a complete bomb set to explode at the slightest spark. Lucius got escorted back to his room, a mess after socking that guy...He sat down, looked in his bag and opened up a large container containing two pills. After downing them with some water in the bathroom, he stepped, unclothed in the shower and let out a sigh only to let out...
"Ohhhhh sweet, sweet medication."

Drawing the curtains aside from her rather large bedroom window (which practically took up a whole wall in her newly-put-together room), Mila sighed. Once finished putting herself together for the day, she was quite thankful that she did not have anything to do. She was happy that she could just finally have the opportunity to relax…for once – whatever that was.
“Mila?” She heard her name being called from her bedroom door, and hearing a few knocks shortly after she turned towards the sound before the door opened up completely… “Mi-“
The woman stopped short as she peered in, getting a view of her family member from the doorway.
“Yes Auntie?” Mila asked, fully facing her Aunt then.
“You aren’t planning on wearing that to the party, now are you?” She asked, which made Mila instantly look down at her clothes, scrunching up her nose a bit before looking back up at her Aunt; meeting her eyes with her own.
“Well umm… Yes, I am.”
“You can’t though!”
Mila looked at her Aunt skeptically for a few seconds before raising a brow.
“Oh really now? And why can’t I?” She asked in return, vindication clearly expressed across her face.
“You can’t, because it’s supposed to be a nice party. Not just some random shindig that you can chill at with your hommies!”
Mila just stared blankly at her Aunt’s use of terminology, not even noticing when the faint spread of blush began to cover her cheeks.
‘What does she think she is doing? Nobody even talks that way anymore!’
But that is when another thought struck Mila. Why hadn’t she noticed it before?
“Party?” She muttered, meeting her Aunt’s gaze with her own again. “What party?”
-
When the ship arrived at its destination, Lucius took a whiff of the air and said,
"Smells repulsively of fish and pineapples...Staff better be kind where I'm headed. No matter, I got my pills with me...now to get the rest of my equipment."
A steel case in cargo was stored separate from everything else to show its importance. Lucius grabbed it and stepped off the boat into the main hall of a resort he was to stay at. Walking to the receptionist's counter, he noticed a young man walk away but shook it off.
"Lucius Brule, ma'am."
"Mr. Brule, your room number is 105. To help find it easier, follow that other young man."
"Thank you, dear."
Lucius took his case and bag and followed the young man to where he was going. He cared not for any reaction, so long as he got to his room, post-haste.
-
“What party?” Her Aunt asked, having her turn at raising an eyebrow.
“Yes.” Mila responded. “What party?”
Her Aunt looked dumbfounded, and she was not exactly sure what to say.
“…the party that your parents informed you that you would be going to today? You know… The one that you are suppose to go to so you have an opportunity to make new friends…?”
Mila continued to stare at her Aunt, thinking it over a bit.
“Ah. Well, my parents seem to be quite the busy individuals, and it seems as if they only got to the part where they scurried me through the door with most of my belongings ready to go as a shipment to arrive here by last evening. I believe them telling me that must have slipped their minds in the midst of everything.”
‘Amongst other things…’ She thought to herself, wanting to roll her eyes in the process, but she held it back – stopping herself from doing so.
Her Aunt sighed before walking into the room, taking a few strides toward Mila; stopping a few feet in front of her.
“Well, regardless of the misunderstanding, you will be going to that party today. So change your clothes if you will.”
“But I-“
“No buts Mila. Your outfit is upon the surface of the trunk at the foot of your bed. I will see you downstairs in approximately fifteen minutes at the latest.” And at that, Mila’s Aunt had turned, and then left the room, silently closing the bedroom door behind her.
“Bullocks…” Mila sighed before strolling over to the chest at the foot of her bed, sifting through the neatly folded items amongst its surface.
She literally almost froze in place when she realized what kind of outfit it actually was – a dress amongst other things.
‘You have got to be bloody kidding me!’
At that, she almost sank to her all-time low before forcing herself with the dreaded outfit, making herself up…again…shortly after like her Aunt wanted her to.
Heading downstairs, Mila took a deep breath and then she slowly let it out, trying her best to take everything in at once, but with no avail.
‘I guess I am just going to have to live with it for now.’
She braced herself then and there, and began her decent toward a new, yet never-lasting beginning.

Derek looked around as the place started to fill up."Well i guess you guys are all done." The workmen nodded."Yes,thank you." Derek Nodded and walked off to the hotel where he is staying at, Well for the party at least.
He walked into the the hotel and looked around, it was very nice actually. He walked up to the counter." Hey i reserved a room for the paty, my last name is menges." He really didn't like his last name it made him feel really nazi-ish, but it really didn't matter."Ah, yes. Derek, your room is 102." said the lady at the counter. Just then he snapped back to reality."Excuse me?"
The lady said."Your room is 102." Derek nodded and smiled." Ah yes thank you." He grabbed his key and walked up to his room. As he got to his room, he looked in it with aw, he had never seen a room so big.
He walked in and closed his door."This is going to be so sweet!"
-
Kaleb span the keyring with his finger. The slight ringing of the keys as they jingled was relaxing in the silence that filled where he was. He sat on the grass far enough from the front of the hotel to both not be noticed by, or notice himself, the guest that were arriving. The very thought of them all pouring in made him sudder. The keys flung from his finger as he lost concentration and he leaned forward quickly to catch them.
Luck was with him as he managed to catch them. He would hate to lose them now. That would mean going to the front desk and asking about getting some new ones. That would mean being near the others. They would be staring, accussing, judging. No it was quieter and better for him just to safely around here. Once the party started he would make his way in. His room was away from others. A nice little lone room in the corner, near a door for him to get to it and back without having to bump into many people. Who knows what they could have been planning? He just couldn't trust what they may be thinking, after all he didn't know anything about them. He laid back on the grass and went back to listening to the rhymic spinning of the key.
-
Michael woke up with a headache.
Which is to be expected since he's been here for about three days, and all he has been doing is partying, which usually starts the moment he wakes up, and ends when he's unconsciously dragged back to his room to start the unhealthy cycle all over again.
"Unhealthy, sure, but extremely fun!", he said to himself as he stared at the mirror.
Three days.
All the same.
But today was going to be different. He just knew it. Maybe because tonight there would be a party that almost anyone could afford. Of course it didn't matter for him, since he brought ALL of his father's extension credit cards, which meant for the next three weeks, he can live like a KING.
"But who wants to be a King without anyone to spend time with?"
Yes, of course, the cheap fee meant more people, and more people meant, more party, and more party meant less silence.
"And you know how much I hate the silence", he said to his mirror image and winked.
-
“I don’t understand why you’re complaining. You look really pretty.”
Mila just sat in the back seat of the car as they drove up to the Manele Bay Resort on Hullopo’E Beach, with her hands folded neatly in her lap as she stared nonchalantly out the window.
Her Aunt sighed.
“Oh come on Mila! It’ll be fun!” She exclaimed as the car stopped in front of one of the main buildings.
Mila managed a small, fake smile before placing her hand on the door handle.
“Yes, I know. Thank you both for driving me here.” She then bit her tongue further before smiling a bit more at her Aunt and Uncle whom were seated in the front of the car before the car doors unlocked.
As soon as the “click” sound was heard, Mila already had the door opened, and she was already starting to get out of the car.
“Love you guys! Bye! See you later!” Mila waved before she grabbed the corner of the door, preparing herself to slam it closed before walking off.
“Mila, don’t-”
Slam!
And she was off; hated purse in hand, dreaded outfit and all.

Sphyna Lewin had the can of hair spray, hesitant to continue. Her friend, Melissa, had shown her tons of beauty tips before she had left on the cruise ('In case you meet some hot boys on this cruise of yours!' as she had put it) but she had never really been one for asthetics. She looked at herself in the mirror as she braced herself. She had never done this on her own before.
She looked around the exquisite room, room 110. She had never dreamed she would ever be in such a beautiful place. And especially not on her own. She was still wondering at how she had even managed it. It all seemed so sureal.
And now, with huge party about to start downstairs, she had to do another thing she had never dreamed of. Get herself ready. She took a deep breath as she took up a curler in her free hand and gave herself one last look in the mirror.
"Here goes nothing!" Fee said, and began getting herself ready.

MICHAEL
"I like my room number, 307," he said to himself as he got dressed for whatever was to meet him downstairs, "Something about the odd numbers make it seem like it's so much fun!"
Plus the fact that he also got one of the most expensive suites for the place helped him like those numbers a lot.
"Thank you, Daddy-Cards!"
He giggled... and then stopped himself. For the nth time he realized that his giggle sounded like a little child at best and a very psychotic girl at worst. He tried again, this time trying to make it into a manlier giggle, because he really can't use his normal giggle around the girls and the boys can he? He needs to be manly.
"I already look and feel the part, might as well sound the part, right?" He said as he gave himself a look at the mirror. He looks like a teenager, and even though he had just graduated from college, he still feels like he was 18 - barely legal, barely ready, and always irresponsible.
"This is so sweet!"
A slam of a door, and he was making his way downstairs.
-
The air felt cool against a womans hot skin. The almost blazing sun had made a smile appear on two faces. A woman turned to the entrance of the building or as she called it relief. A four-legged furball rushed to her side scratching at her luggage. "This is it, Zeus. We won't have to worry about bills or evictions!" The woman exclaimed. Her blonde hair blew south as she walked into an air-conditioned lobby. "I love this Zeus! I always thought that Agatha Evanthe would never say that again!" Agatha pet her wolf malamute and laughed when he barked happily. She sat down in the lobby's lounge and held her best friend with pure joy. "Zeus, Lars would love this!"
-
Tace walked to his room absorbed in his thoughts. He had a mild curiosity and anticipation about arriving in his room. Settling in would feel good, and he debated whether or not to take a nap. Fatigue ached at him from his long plane flight from Ellicott City to here and the though of turning in early appealed to him. However, he remembered that a party looked like it was going to be occurring soon and that pretty much meant the noise would make sleep impossible.
A tired sigh slipped through his lips as he turned the key to his room. He wanted so bad to just sleep until morning and maybe even get an early start but such things seemed unlikely. oh well he thought with detachment se la vi.
Opening the door, unleashed fresh clean scent of tropical flowers and cleaning fluid. It was a heady mixture and was a bit over-potent for Tace. Still, he could imagine vacationers who enjoyed being bludgeoned into remember the exotic nature of the locale. Tace however, was not impressed by it and shut the door quietly.
Dropping his bags he fell face first onto the bed and felt his heavy-lidded eyes coming down.

(OOC: And the long posts live on!!!!!!! Mwuhahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
After walking around for a while, Mila started to notice the same things crossing her path redundantly. In a heavy sigh she finally just decided to stop and admit to herself that she might very well just be lost.
Deciding on the best option in this situation, she came to the conclusion that asking random people for directions might not be that bad of an idea – which it ended up being in the end anyway.
She just kept ending up in the same place, or in a different portion of the building that she had arrived at earlier. Clearly, this was not going over well for her, and the frustration of the situation began to build as it was continuously mulled over in her mind.
Mila was about to let out a yelp of frustration before kicking some random “sign” in front of her, but she stopped herself, realizing that the object that she was about to kick was not just merely a sign, but a bulletin board. A bulletin board with a ton of papers stuck all over it with push pins nonetheless.
About to roll her eyes at the obviously apparent use for the object in front of her and walk away, Mila caught a glimpse of something from the corners of her eyes – a map, and not just one, but a whole row of them, folded neatly in one particular section of the bulletin board.
Of course.
“Bloody tourists.” She muttered under her breath, not taking into consideration that she was currently one of them.
A while after following the map from “Building 3” which she had been at in the first place, she had finally made it to “Building 1,” where the apparent festivities were to take place. This is where Mila took it upon herself to have a look around, after neatly tucking her map inside her oh-so lovely bag of a purse that she “loved oh-so dearly,” getting distracted amongst it all when her cell phone went off – she answered it.
Once the phone call was over, Mila literally threw her phone into her purse with frustration before looking up and aggressively blowing a strand of falling curls away from her face, suddenly realizing that she was in a lobby of some sort.
Seeing some guests walk up to the desk to check in, an idea struck her, and she grinned.
“Fine, if you want to be that way, two can play that game.”
Mila walked up to the front desk and smiled politely.
“Hello, I was wondering if you had any rooms available that I might be able to check in to.” She asked the Concierge at the desk.
The woman smiled back pleasantly and said “yes” with a nod.
Mila smiled further and held out a credit card in between her middle and index fingers, “In that case, I would like to check in please.”
“Do you have a reservation?” The woman asked in response, and Mila just stared at her, her face expressionless. “Well, you will be on the second floor than.” She said, taking Mila’s card and looking it over a bit before sliding it through the ATM machine at the desk.
“Our rooms are numbered as thus: The First Floor is numbered in the one hundreds, the Second Floor in the two hundreds, the Third Floor is numbered in the three hundreds, and etcetera... The further up, the better the view and the bigger the rooms. Not to mention the more expensive everything gets. But, most of the guests here prefer the first story because it is usually where most of the activities take place, and therefore, they are easier to get to…how many nights miss?”
Mila looked back at the woman a little perplexed. She was not even carded for ID, and she just stood there and listened to her ramble on about the rooms. It took a few seconds for the question to process.
“I umm… At least a few weeks?” She responded, and the woman just looked at her a bit awkwardly.
“Are you sure about that Miss-” She glanced down at the credit card then, before looking back up at Mila, “-Endellion?”
Mila nodded right away.
“Okay. You’re room number is 203. Enjoy your stay here with us. The elevator is straight that way,” She said pointing, “-all the way down the hallway, and to your left. The stairs are in the same direction, but to your right.”
Taking her card back Mila nodded as the woman also handed her a room key (key card), and a few pieces of paper with information on them, such as fire escapes, exits, and etcetera…
“Thank you.”
“Thank you for choosing the Menele Bay Resort. We hope you enjoy your stay here.”
Turning at that point, Mila ventured her way to the stairs in pursuit of finding her room next.
‘Thank you very much for spending time with me Mother and Father.’ She thought, smiling to herself as she read the cost of her little stay at the resort on the receipt that was handed to her, as she reached the top of the stairs.
Mila grinned again before stuffing her paperwork, credit card, and room key into her purse, continuing her way down the hallway, along with the descending room numbers.

"You know, these aren't very easy to come by. I went through great lengths to get this ****. You better pay me."
"Yeah Yeah I know. My pay check doesn't come in till next week so you'll have the money by then."
Gerome pulled his suitcase out from under the bed and opened it up. He pulled out a small paper bag that had a few bottles inside. "Here."
"Oh wow. This is nearly double what you got me last time!" Jace's eyes lit up like a small child looking at a bag of candy. But this definatley wasn't candy.
"Be careful. The purple ones are known to give you really bad trips if you take too many. So don't be stupid about it." Gerome nodded.
"Oh come on. When have I ever been stupid?"
"....." Gerome rolled his eyes
".....Okay don't answer that." Jace chuckled a little.
Gerome took a minute to gather up his things and zip them back up into his suit case. He then went over to the desk and grabbed a pen and a sticky note. He wrote down his name and the number "204"
"If you need me, you need to come back to this room. I even wrote the number down for you in case you forget. And I know you will. That **** is gonna **** you up."
With that, Jace said his goodbyes to Gerome and walked out of the room and down the hall. He tried to keep his meetings with him discreet and short. In this instance he was particularly lucky Gerome's friends weren't with him today. Sometimes he tends to bring his big buff black friends with him to make sure his clients pay up.
(OOC: This is talkin about you Fae XDD ))
As he walked down that hall he noticed a girl in the distance walking down the hall. At first he didn't really think anything of it. But she was kind of cute. He wondered if whether or not she should talk to her, and possibly get some action for tonight. But she kinda looked out of his league.....and she looked kinda *****y.
-
Derek looked out the window, he could see out through the hotel, the pools the hall everything." I guess i got lucky with this room." He sighed happily."well i guess i better go out and see if anyone is here, yet." He walked out his door and started to walk toward the pool.
He got to the pool and noticed some people hanging around the pool, but no one of interest. he decided to, hang there till the party started." Maybe some one will come by."

OCC: Everyone is rich (or seems to have money to burn anyway). Mana would be so damn jealous. =P
"That guy was so damn hot."
"You have a boyfriend, Jess," Mana reminded her best friend. "And don't you dare turn around and stare. We're still working. Besides, it's not polite."
"But-" Jessica moaned as she turned to catch one more glance of the boy that was disappearing behind the door of his room. "He's pretty cute as well..." she said, now staring at the man that was walking behind the boy.
Mana rolled her eyes. "How you and Jason manage to stay together, I have no idea," she muttered under her breath. "Come on," Mana said, tugging on Jessica's arm, "Kneel."
The two girls simultaneously got down on their knees in front of a door with the numbers 101 emblazoned on it.
"God, or El Satan, or whoever else cares enough to listen," Mana prayed, "Please, please, please, please, PLEASE let the room be somewhat clean!!"
The two girls crossed themselves, then exchanged glances.
"You ready?" Jessica asked.
"No, but it has to be done anyway," Mana replied.
Jessica inserted her staff card key into the slot, and the light blinked green. She took a deep breath, and opened the door.
"Why did we expect anything else?" Mana asked nobody in particular when they entered the filthy room.
Clothes were strewn about on the floor, and there were empty glasses and bottles everywhere.
"Why is it that rich people can't clean up after themselves?" Mana sighed. "And how the hell do they manage to get it this messy? I just frickin cleaned here this mor-"
"I'm not cleaning the bathroom!!" Jessica yelled over Mana.
"No!!" Mana cried. "No fair!! I had to clean it this morning!! It was disgusting. I don't think I've ever been so traumatised..."
"Poor thing," Jessica said, patting Mana on the shoulder. "I'm still not doing it though."
"Fine," Mana said with a pout, "But you owe me a drink at the party tonight."
"I'll buy you two," Jessica said sympathetically. "But I thought you were working."
"I am," Mana replied. "They said that they needed extra staff for the party, so I'm gonna be there serving drinks and such. I'll get a break, though. So you can treat me then."
"Do you think that guy in 103 will be at the party?" Jessica wondered as she picked up a fancy cocktail dress and hung it up in the cupboard.
"Again with the you already having a boyfriend statement," Mana chided with a roll of her eyes. "Isn't he taking you to the party?"
"Yeah, but it doesn't mean I'm not allowed to look," Jessica replied cheekily.
Mana rolled her eyes again.
"Come on," she said, "Let's get this room cleaned up. Then our shift will be over and I can go help you dress for the party before I have to start working again."

After Julius dried off, he collapsed on his bed and wondered what to do next. He breathed heavy, listening to himself as he thought about going to the party...Why not? He could get a few drinks in his system to drown out everything and then head over to the hot tubs after. Screw talking to people...waiting and silence were what he was good at.
Donning a dark green muscle shirt and some various other military fatigues, Julius picked up his case and a small set of pills and set out for this party.
Taking a seat at the bar, he ordered a Jack & Coke and went for some food, silent as ever with a serious, "Don't piss me off." look.

Fee looked at the clock, then looked at herself in the mirror again. She had an hour to pick something to wear, but this was probably her worst fear: dressing herself.
She didn't know what to wear. Were jeans to casual? Should she wear a skirt instead? What was everyone else wearing? She didn't want to stick out. Or did she? She didn't know anymore.
She let out a loud, exasperated sigh and fell onto her bed, making sure to fall at an angle so her head hund off the bed and her hair wouldn't get messed up. She lifted a lock into her eyesight and examined it.
It was an odd light green-blondish color. She had been aiming for blonde but something had gone wrong with the dye ('It was probably way old. I think dye expires.' was Melissa's guess) and it had turned into this. She was going to dye it back but she the color had grown on her.
"It's just because this is the first time I've ever died my hair and I don't want to admit it was a total disaster," she said loudly, talking to herself for lack of having anything else to procrastinate clothes picking with. She let out another sigh and walked over to the open window.
The salty wind was refreshing. It felt nice on her skin, the salt tickling her as the wind caressed her. She could see ocean, even though she was on the first floor. It was all so beautiful, so different. Everything was going to be changing from here on out, she could feel it. She reached up a hand unconciously and grabbed hold of the rosary that had been her mothers. Yes. Everything was going to change.
(OOC- Evil long fluff post!! >=D

Andrew, along with his friends, entered the lobby of the main building. He felt the air-conditioner blow cold wind his way, making his hair sway a little bit. He took note of the wolf-looking dog that was next to a women. He wondered what was the name and type of dog that was next to the women. His friends were right next to him as they walked toward the center of the lobby with him.
(Andrew's Friend 1) "We're here, this is the resort I was talking about of having this fantastic party!"
(Andrew's Friend 2) "This place looks nice...but nothing out of the blue. It's just an ordinary resort having a big party."
(Friend 1) "Oh, come on man, the main thing is just in the main building. You'll be impressed once you get the party feeling man! Do you think so guys?"
(Andrew's Friend 3) "Yeah!"
(Andrew's Friend 4) "I think so too but we need to check in our rooms first, do YOU guys think?"
(Friend 1) "Come on man, you'll just ruin the fun. Can't we just go to the party-"
(Andrew Madison) "Sigh. First, we need some rooms, then we can go party."
(Friend 4) "Good call, Andrew. We can't just party right now or we'll won't have any rooms to stay in."
(Friend 3) "Yeah, man."
(Friend 2) "Smart."
(Friend 1) "Alright, alright. We'll get rooms first, just leave it to me."
(Andrew) "If you say so...I'm going to find a place to sit."
Andrew decided to sit down somewhere but the only place he can sit down was next to the women with the dog. He walked over to the empty spot and sat down although he didn't really want to talk to the women with the dog. All he needed right now was some peace and quiet.
"Finally, I really need some rest and quiet time right now..."

Lucius downed his drink and said
"Fire another one up, soldier."
The barkeep did as requested and gave him another drink. Lucius took a quick swig and started talking to the barkeep.
"This isn't a party...My idea of a party would be getting into a firefight in Fallujah and taking one of those jihad soldiers as my punching bag. Here? There's no MMA fighting, there are no women to buy for the night. You know?"
"I hear ya, man. Look on the bright side though. There's plenty of alcohol here. There's a pool and there are hot tubs. How about this? My shift ends in a little bit. If you could, grab some girls and have them join you and I in the hot tub. Maybe the relaxed setting will calm you down."
"That's not a bad idea. I'll get on it in a little bit."
The barkeep made two Jagerbombs and said,
"Name's Clyde. Here's to a new friendship."
"Name's Lucius. I could use a friend nowadays. Everyone keeps dying on me...or used to. Whatever, though. Let's drink."

Tace couldn't tell if he was asleep or not, his eyes were closed and time seemed to ebb around him. He snatched brief snippets of qualia as it flew past, a shuffle of footsteps, the feel of linen. The sensation trapped him in their clutches and he was buffeted about by their subtleties.
Sometime later, his dreamy state fated and he returned to the land of the living. The party was just getting started. Music faded into his conscious and once he caught the thrumming beat he couldn't sleep. Sighing, he awoke himself and stirred his eyes.
Pulling himself to stand, he made his way to the door. He still felt exhausted from the flight and he looked a bit of a mess but it didn't bother him. He had no expectations but to make a brief appearance at the part, glance it over, find nothing their that penetrated his fog of annui and spend the night nursing a cola. He slipped from room.
The room over was being cleaned by a pair of maids but it had nothing to do with him, so he passed by only glancing in to see the challenge that they had been presented with. He felt bad for them. People were so slovenly.
His condolences were mute however, and brief, as he continued to towards the now pervasive beat. He tried his best to form a silent compartment in his mind but the process was impossible. He was stuck between the vibrations from the bass and wall of decibels of the treble and the mixed left his head full to bursting. Still, he came to the fringe of the party and skirted its flanks, trying to find some area where he could manifest a modicum of control rather than being weltered by the constant noise and press of bodies.

MICHAEL
Upon reaching the hall where the party has already started, he bobs his head to the beat, no longer feeling the need to speak aloud to himself. He didn't have to, because it wasn't quiet. It didn't stop him talking to himself aloud though.
This is fun! The beat is loud! And I almost can't hear myself think! This I likey!!!
He looked around, not many women though. Too bad. AH WELL! Gotta look for conversation!, he thought, as he proved to himself once again that the lack of women never stopped him from having a dandy DANDY? Does anyone ever say that anymore? Tee-hee! good time.
He noticed a younger guy hanging by the edge of the people.
(OOC: Luzifer, can we be friends? Hahaha)
He walked over and said the first thing that came up in his mind.
"What up, dude?"
In his mind, he wished at that moment he was black, instead of just plain Asian, to make those words cooler.

Another woman walked up to Agatha and looked at her in disgust. "Umm May I help you?" Agatha asked looking up at her. "Your ruining the lobby with you and your Mangy mutt!" Zeus growled and stepped in front of Agatha. "Heel, boy. Its just a 'rat'." She whispered into his ear. Agatha stood up and looked at the woman. "Excuse me but I dont think you understand. Zeus here has been with the United States Army since he was a pup. He has enough scars to actually have a judgement against you and enough experience to kill you. So if you want to insult me fine but dont insult my dog and have a heart." The woman smiled and poured a glass of dry martini on Agatha. Agatha smiled and clicked her tongue to call Zeus to her side.
She walked to the desk and gave them her information. "The villas outside, Miss....Evanthe. Nice dog by the way." The receptionist said scratching his head. "Thanks.." Agatha said clicking her tongue. As they walked out side, she felt her hearing fade in and out. "Oww..." Zeus barked and whined. "Im fine boy no danger."

Derek looked around, still no one of interest. Just then he heard the music starting."Well i guess the party is starting." Derek got up and decided to go to the main building.
He reached the main building, to see a few people had show up."Ugh.... i hate being early." he decided to go in anyway. he sat down at the nearest table and decided to watch every one, he was not much of a talkative person, but maybe some one will show up.

Daniel walked up to the front desk and stated his name. "Reservation for Cruz." The lady looked in her computer and said "Yes sir, your room is 101." Daniel took the key card from her, gave his thanks and walked off. As he made his way down the hallway he noticed that the door to his room was open. He knocked on the door "Umm, this is the room I was assigned I was wondering if you were done so that I could move in sorry but I really need to get ready." Daniel said as he waiting at the door for the ladies to finish their last bit and leave.

OCC: Sorry about all that kei. >_<
"I'm getting way too old for this..." Mana panted, slumping against a wall. "I think we set ourselves a new record though," she added. "14 minutes."
Jessica plopped herself down onto a plush sofa. "I am so quitting," she said.
"You said that last week," Mana reminded her. "And the week before that. And the week before that. And-"
"Shut up," Jessica pouted. She got off the couch and straightened the cushions before turning to Mana. "Look at us," she said, "We're young and beautiful-" Mana raised an eyebrow "-Well, I'm beautiful!!" Jessica retorted.
"Of course you are," Mana laughed.
"I want to get off this damn island!!" Jessica said. "I'm tired of cleaning up after rich people! I want to be rich and have people clean up after me!!"
There was a pause, and a moment later Jessica took a deep breath and sat back down.
"I feel better now," she said.
"Good," Mana said with a smile, "Come on, let's go get you ready for that party."
Suddenly there was a knock at the half open door and both girls whirled around to face it.
"Umm, this is the room I was assigned I was wondering if you were done so that I could move in sorry but I really need to get ready." the man at the door was saying.
Jessica leaped up off of the couch and began to straighten the cushions once again, her face beet red.
"We're terribly sorry sir," Mana said sheepishly, "There must have been some kind of mix ups with the times. We'll be done in no time."
Jessica sidled over to Mana and whispered in her ear, "Does this mean I can keep the clothes that are in the closet?"
"Please wait one moment, sir," Mana said with another apologetic smile and shut the door.
"Well?" Jessica asked.
Mana bit her lip. "Fine," she said after a minute, "but I didn't hear or see anything of it. And be quick about it!!"
A minute later Mana opened the door again. The room was in perfect order, and the clothes of the previous owner were tucked out of sight in the laundry cart.
"We're very sorry for the wait sir," Mana said, "Everything should be in order. If you have any complaints please phone the front desk and we will take care of it immediately."

(OOC: This is for Maru and Akira)
"Clyde, I'm going to see if I can bring someone else in, make a Manhattan for that woman over there and let her know I requested it for her. I will check elsewhere."
"Alright then, Lucius. I'll see you tonight at the hot tubs."
Clyde started making the drink for the woman and placed it in front of her.
"A Manhattan for you, ma'am."
Lucius went out, pills, case and all, leaving the party behind to find another woman who may seem interested. Outside, he saw a fair-looking woman with a well-bred dog.
That lady looks kinda nice and that dog's pretty cool. It's got a bunch of scars but so finding out why may be the icebreaker there.
Lucius, walking to the lady and the dog said,
"Nice night, isn't it?"

Tace was not left long to his extraneousness, as a voice brought his rambling mind into the moment. His face lit up reflexively, a vague but congenial smile trace across his face and is eyes open and inviting. "Hello sir." he said with politeness that was familiar enough to belie his formal words. It was a mixture he tapped into with ease, instantly fusing a the friendliness porch-front friends with the formality of high society. The act was instinctive to him. "What can I do for you this eventide?"
His mind was however blank. His body and lips moved without him, consciousness was an unnecessary thing. It was merely a detached thought thinking itself, no more. The mind was trapped behind an epiphenomenological abyss.

As Mila walked down the hall toward her room, she looked down a bit, counting her steps subconsciously as she walked. Feeling as if she was getting closer to her room, she slipped her hand inside of her rather large purse, and pulled out her key card before looking up.
Turning toward her room, which was obviously known to be so by the number “203” marked above the door, she stopped in the middle of what she was doing and just stared a little.
There was a person standing directly in front of her, and he seemed to be doing the same as she – staring.
After a few moments of silence, Mila had decided that she would rather just be quiet and go into her room despite the fact, and just go about her evening…and just maybe, go to the party if she had felt up to it. But the party thing was only a maybe.
Her better judgment decided against her “former decision” rather “want” per se, and she chose to say something regardless.
“Umm… Can I help you?” She asked lifting a brow in the process, as another stray strand of her hair spiraled down in front of her face.
Mila blew the curl away from her face again, less aggressively than she had the last time, and just continued to stare at the lone-stranger in front of her, awaiting some type of a response.
-
"Nice night, isn't it?"
Zeus scratched at Agatha's leg making her notice the man next to her. "Oh yes, its a great night." She said, petting Zeus with her other hand.
Zeus gave a pant to show happiness and walked over to the man. He barked and pawed at his leg.
"How rude of me. I havent introduced myself." Agatha said turning towards the man.
"I'm Agatha Evanthe and this is Zeus." She smiled and stood up straight.
Zeus stared his eyes trying to find what type of person he was. After his examination, he started to dig a very small hole to notify Agatha. She looked down for a minute and winked at Zeus. "Its a pleasure to meet you sir."

MICHAEL
"Hello sir. What can I do for you this eventide?"
(OOC: In the Philippines, when someone speaks in straight English, and the words are a little deep, people usually act as if they have a nosebleed, because they're brain are "working too much". Just an explanation, so that when Michael reacts like this, it would make sense).
"Eventide?" He said, with his eyes wide open, and his finger placed under his nose to stop a mock-nosebleed, "I think my brain just died. The name is Michael, and you can call me anything you want. Mike, Kel, or Michael whatever floats your boat, even Brittany if that works for you... Just don't call me sir, cause 'Sir' is my father, and I am nothing like him"
As Michael finished his sentence, he realized that though he seemed friendly, they're probably worlds apart. The kid is sophisticated, and rich. Michael's just rich, but sophisticated? Perish the thought.
He smiled and offered his hand for a shake.
"What's your name bro?"
(OOC: Scared that Michael is starting to sound like gay... Is he? NooooOoooOooo, I intended for him to be really straight. MAN!)

It took Jace a moment to actually register in his mind that this girl was actually acknowledging him. And when he finally managed to open his mouth, he just let out whatever came to mind.
" Oh there's a lot of things you could help me with~" He grinned and leaned up against the wall, looking the girl over from top to bottom. He wasn't very good with pickup lines, and he was overall satisfactory when it came to flirting. So he had a pretty educated guess as to what the outcome of this conversation would be. He predicted that he would most likely get some sort of eye roll or snobby hairflip, and she would then proceed to slam the door in his face. Thus leaving him to walk off with his pills and a feeling of rejection. Oh well. Surely if he couldn't score with this one, there were bound to be plenty of drunk girls at the party later complaining about how their man doesn't love them. And guess who's gonna be there for the rebound?
-
"Name's Lucius, Agatha, Zeus."
Lucius looked at Zeus some more and put down his case and his pills and said,
"I couldn't help but notice that Zeus has some scars. A fight, maybe? Some of them do look like they were deep cuts at one point. I've gotten my share of scars as well. Took lead in Iraq and fought my way out of a mugging in New York. The guy had a knife..."
-
Mila just stood there for a moment, a little shocked and appalled by the lone-stranger’s answer, but in a way…it was kind of funny.
She laughed a little before taking her hand away from the card slot on her room’s door above the handle.
But why was she laughing again?
She stopped, and her face went blank again.
“Well…” She began, “-you seem to be…quite the interesting individual to say the least… How bored are you?” Mila then asked, slipping her key card back into the gigantic bag of a purse that she had, before brushing a few more stray strands of hair out of her face and back into her neatly styled up-do.
“I know we have yet to really meet each other, so let me introduce myself.” Mila said, holding her hand out toward the guy whom in which was still in front of her – since he was leaning against the wall though it made her angle her hand in an odd way when holding it out to him.
“My name is Mila, and I do not talk too much. I am not really a people-person, and I really do not want to be here right now. But, alas, here I am.” She smiled a bit before taking his hand in hers.
“It is a pleasure to meet you…uh…?” Mila started, but she stopped mid-sentence to get his name in turn.

Fee wandered down into the room where the party was. She had finally decided on a strapless royal purple cocktail dress with just enough taffeta underneath to make the fabric stand away from her skin. Her long hair framed her face and ended in fat, bouncy ringlets. Her mothers rosary adorned her neck, but other than that she only wore a simple silver chain bracelet and plain black hoops.
The heels had felt akward, so she had opted for flats. Luckily, the slapping noise her flats made instead of the clicking noise of heels was drowned out by the music. She looked around at the crowd gathered before gravitating to the outskirts.
She moved around the edge of the party, hugging the wall. She watched as people moved about, enjoying themselves. When she found a clear spot that wasn't too trafficed, Fee found a nice spot of wall to lean against. Then she rooted herself down and watched the people in the room mingle and dance.
