Underrated Games that You Like
Games like Skyrim, Mass Effect and Borderlands usually get talked about so much that other games get forgotten about (some more than others).
What is a game that you really enjoy that you feel doesn't get the attention or praise that it deserves?
Darksiders II - While not necessarily FORGOTTEN, it definitely got covered up by Borderlands 2 and then Resident Evil 6 (which is obviously a more popular title).
Bulletstorm - Developers failed to make a profit off this game, but it's so freaking fun, finished it twice, cheesy but funny dialogue and so much more creative and fun than your average military shooters
Dante's Inferno - Most gamers and reviewers called it a God of War clone, but it was a fun and gruesome experience, good voice acting and story telling
Split/Second: Velocity & FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage - Both scored well, but both seemed to fall off the radar of general gamer consciousness. Speed, wanton destruction and over-the-top arcade racing are supplied by both in spades, and they are easily my favorite titles of the genre.

Enter The Matrix
I personally love this game.

Re: Underrated Games that You Like
I really enjoyed a shooter called "Xlll" back on the PS2. I thought it had a fun offline multiplayer but no one really knew about that since people mostly focused on it's horrible single-player. I also enjoyed an underrated game called Crackdown 2. Most people only know that game because the first game in the series came with the beta for Halo 3, but it's a real fun game that deserves a new game added to the series.

Re: Underrated Games that You Like
Baten Kaitos [Gamecube]: Not all that original as RPGs go, but a fine alternative to the Tales and Final Fantasy series.
Pikmin [Gamecube]: A charming and clever RTS let down by a lack of gameplay length (Thankfully, the sequel is a far bigger game).
Warioworld [Gamecube]: Old school style platforming, but well structured, fluid and very playable.
Beyond Good and Evil [Xbox]: Dynamic, original and imaginative; includes an epic storyline, beautiful graphics and a funky soundtrack.
Jade Empire [XBox]: Beautiful (if somewhat dated looking) graphics, lush environments and plenty of depth; highly recommended for those who like martial arts.

All of the Jak and Daxter games up to and including the third one.
Sly Cooper games.
The first three Spyro games.

Re: Underrated Games that You Like
Really not sure how underrated it actually is, but I don't think Legend of Dragoon ever rose to the RPG heights of say, a Final Fantasy. But it's probably my favorite game of all time. From the story to the battle system (the Dragoon transformations were some of my favorite game animations), I absolutely loved that game. I really wish they would have made a sequel on the PS2 or 3, from the cutscenes I can imagine how amazing the graphics would be on a current-gen system.

Advent Rising for the original Xbox...great story, despite the bugs in the game it was awesome. Right up there with Xenogears...hoping Majesco sells the rights back to Donald Munstard who produced the game for the sequels, it stopped at such a cliff hangar.

Fat Princess, there's really no game like it, hopefully Playstation All-Stars boosts the game series.

Re: Underrated Games that You Like
Jet force gemini. That game was fun.
Klonoa 2. Again, a fun little game.
Bayonetta. Only Bayonetta herself could be popular. But the game itself? No.

it's old ... but ... still love it: Beyond good and evil

Re: Underrated Games that You Like
Dark Cloud for the PS2. This game was so fun. The levels were really fun to play through, the leveling up system for weapons was very well done and the story had a very good plot to it.

The Hobbit. Loved that game as a young lad. It's an okay game for the most part, but it's one of my personal favorites just for the nostalgia factor.

Legend of Mana
Vagrant Story
Xenogears
Parasite Eve
Wild Arms
The Bouncer
Urban Reign
Man, those PS1 era RPGs came out and were forgotten about so fast.

Shadow Heart & Shadow Heart Covenant: Best JRPGs for the PS2 but got outshone by a game company with better eye candy but terrible story (Square Enix).
Too Human: Even though the engine sucked the concept of the story was awesome and the story was great. Maybe I'm just a sucker for Norse Mythology but it's another great game that was ruined by the Epic Engine.

Re: Underrated Games that You Like
Shadow of the Colossus and Ico
Grandia II
Baten Kaitos: Eternal Wings and the Lost Ocean and Baten Kaitos: Origins
These are true blue adventure games in my opinion with a small fan base that needs to shout at the top of its lungs.

Re: Underrated Games that You Like
I was surprised to find out Catherine was considered underrated. I guess the mature, slightly out there plotline threw some people off, but Catherine's a pretty incredible puzzle game with great rpg features.

I wholeheartedly agree with that. Especially Vagrant Story and Xenogears. Sweet games.
One game that seems a little underrated is Nano Breaker. I love that game. ^_^

Alpha Protocol. Seriously underrated spy-action-thingamajig.

Trace Memory is a sort of suspense/mystery game that launched with the Nintendo DS. It's a short game, but I enjoyed the storyline and the mechanics. It really used the handheld's full potention. I wished there were more games like it, but the closest (and decent) one I could find was Hotel Dusk.
