Biggest letdown of your entire life?
We all have those times when we were expecting something big, but then only found out that it sucks right after we get it. SO, what's the biggest let down of your life?
Mine is when I saw all these good comments about Dark cloud 2, only to find out it isn't THAT great, it was very fun, but not what the description said it would...

They changed the flavor of my favorite potato chips. I got to the snacks aisle and was like

The bag said "new improved flavor". Much as I suspected, they didn't taste nearly as good as they used to.

Dragonforce in concert.
Then again I knew they would suck.

Re: Biggest letdown of your entire life?
When I was like, in the 8th Grade, me, my mom and younger sibling decided to go to the county fair (because we couldn't afford the big one in Florida XD). Anyways, on the way there, my mom and I were having a discussion about gay rights and such and she'd always said "I'll tolerate them, but it's not my style, brah.", so I sort of felt comfortable talking about the subject with her. After about 15 minutes in, I said "Well, what would you do if I were gay......?" in a sort of hinty tone. And. She. Lost. Her. Schoopoles. (You know what I mean by "schoopoles" XD) She actually swerved the car--ON THE BUSY HIGHWAY. She starting flipping out and was like "OH NO!! NOT NO! BUT HELLLLL NO!! NOT IN MY HOUSE, YOU'RE NOT!!" And I was actually really surprised. I was just like "Damn........" It ruined my night :/
And that hasn't been the only time she's had outbursts in public like that about the G-word >.>

Which is exactly why i do not trust my mother or many parents in general... they can be extremely harsh at times when they need to be calm or polite the most.

Re: Biggest letdown of your entire life?
Yeah.......And there was another time this past Mardi Gras, too: We were waiting for the parade to start, and one of my moms friends were with us and he points at a lesbian couple walking down the street and holding hands and starts giggling and he got my mom in on it, too. So I politely said "I really don't see what's so funny." and my mom was like "Sierra, c'mon--that's disgusting. Nobody wants to see that." See what?? They were just HOLDING HANDS. So I went off on a tangent about the September suicides and she said "So what? I don't care."
I was shocked. So I decided not to talk the rest of the night. I wasn't pouting, just quiet. And later, she had the audacity to say "You need to cheer up because you're ruining everyone's fun time." >.>

I truly am sorry about that.. I can't stand it when people are quick to judge like that... Parents, I really don't know what to say, they just are not the best people... Parent's have become a huge let down to me, being a bad influence to children, and offing their responsibilities just because they are an adult. I understand they can know best, but lately, I say our parents and many others are getting dumber by the minute. >.>...
Not saying your mother is, just saying that's just wrong. I actually support Homosexuals, and Bisexuals, last thing we need is for the world to get messed up over another dilemma, THAT ISN'T EVEN A DILEMMA, I mean come on?! is it really that bad to be a homosexual?

Re: Biggest letdown of your entire life?
My parents, they know nothing of what I like, they try but I don't think they try hard enough, my sister is the person that knows everything about me. She made me so happy in my birthday when I was pretty depressed.

Re: Biggest letdown of your entire life?
I think the biggest let-down for me was my school life.
When i was small and first started going all i did was try to make new friends. Skip to today and I only have one really good friend and even we don't see each other that often. It doesn't really bug me cuz I'm a solitary kind of person, but i still think its sad how that turned out.

Learning about the birds and the bees. Wish I could still believe birds hated bees.

Re: Biggest letdown of your entire life?
School. In general school sucked since i didn't have many(good) friends but in my opinion, high school was the worst. People would tell me that it would be "the best years of your life". Yeah so apparently getting jumped by street punks, stabbed, and held up in the lunch room with a 9 at the back of my head while others students including a undercover cop looked and did nothing is good? Yeah, my first year of high was fun.(BULLCRAP!!!) There's a reason why i left to another school system, but most of the people in the new school were from the inner city. Most of the were two-faced egotistical brats that i wanted to choke the life out of, but the rest(that didn't think i was Hannibal Lector) were good.

When you plan for something and ask your parents' permission but in the end they won't let you go.
And the government in my country. Gawsh. How many times do you have to do a facepalm everytime you see what they're doing in the news.
