Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
I've done some pretty weird things in video games and was curious about your experiences. For example, in the Elder Scrolls games, I always become a skooma dealer, even when I'm RPing a good guy. I usually teamkill any followers I get. Finally, I actually still play Warcraft :banghead:
How about you guys?

Super jumping in Halo 2 was fun

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
You can be a skooma dealer in Elder Scrolls? O.o
Ontopic: usually things that you're not expected to do. Driving around whilst correctly obeying traffic laws in games such as Need for Speed, Grand Theft Auto and Midnight Club tends to be the main thing, since when I'm bored and just killing time I like to just mope about the game maps and I like to be ironic in playing a game about breaking traffic laws and safety rules by actually obeying them.
Especially because the AI traffic generally is completely incapable of doing the same.

In Garry's Mod, these people hanged me for killing them all the time. I literally loved it. I asked them to do it again, and I gave them advice like "make me fat!"
After the third time I asked, they banned me. DX

I actually do that exact same thing in The Simpsons: Road Rage. :p If I'm really super bored I go into Sunday drive mode and go really slow and stay within the lines. If I'm bored enough, I'll even sit behind cars and honk at them before I pull around. Normally, it's boring as crap, but when you're already bored to stupidity, it's strangely entertaining. xD

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
On tamagotchis in the nineties i used to turn out the lights and discipline them in the dark, does that count?
or are we taking about stuff like in Postal2 where you do unspeakable things to make people sick and then behead him with a spade. Where you use a cat as a silencer for a shotgun or an M-16. and all youre meant to be doing is buying a carton of milk. that kind of weird?

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
I would purposely hit eveything in sight while playing The Simpsons Hit and Run and laugh while trying to avoid getting caught by Chief Wiggum. And I would race on the dark stage on Gran Turismo in black cars while playing find my opponents car. It was car hide and seek and tag rolled into one. Great times with videogames.

To change the subject from cars mine would be a solo thief in the NES version of FFI. Probably one of the hardest and most tedious thing you could do in any video game.

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
Ahhhh, i think i understand this post a little more now. I once caught a mate playing Theme Park on sega megadrive/genesis, hed tarmacced the entire map, i asked what he thought he was doing and he replied;
"Theres more money in car parks than theme parks"

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
Pulling back to the subject of cars:
Bringing an everyday family's 5-door hatchback to a hypercar race. Or, better explained, deliberately picking a Ford Fiesta ST and using it to race a bunch of Bugatti Veyrons in NFS.
The strangest thing? I won all the races. Even stranger? I won the session overall. Internet got trolled. lol.

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
In Grand Theft Auto sometimes I will drive like the rest of the cars, obeying traffic laws etc. I have ran circles around the people walking on the side walks and jumping up and down in front of them. lol
-
Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
I have found memories of running around jump kicking zombies in Deadrising 2.

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
Using pink guns with male characters in Gears of War 3. I have yet to see another person rocking the pink, and I always get a bunch of "wtf's" and "omg lulz" when I'm in game.
Also, in Call of Duty:- Casually walking and just happen to get a kill for no apparent reason.
- Playing basketball whenever a court and ball is present, or hockey in Stadium in Black Ops. Pretty much anytime some sort of "mini-game" or interactive environment element is present, I stop playing the objective and become the target of teammate rage.

Taunt parties in SSBB. They're quite hated among those who still go online in this game, but playing around with glitches, running into hackers and bullying the party crasher can equal hours of fun.

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
one time my friend and i were playing one of the halo games i think it was 2 and he fell down a hole that keeps going down then you die. i think he found an invosbule wall or something. next thing i know i respawned in the hole and i kept falling down the hole dieing untill i respawned on his head and i killed him making him respan and keep dieing over the hole. revenge is a dish best served cold as they say.and back on the subject we were playing as the covent and he threw a plasma gurnade on a grunt and it said o a peace of metal then he said get it off get it off get it off lol

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
Does jumping off of the map of Half Life 1 count. Without the aid of the gravity gun or noclip I hopped up onto rocks to get a higher look at the area I was in when I realized that at the highest point there was nothing behind me. I dropped down and got myself stuck outside the map so I reloaded the save.

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
I have gotten to the point now where I can't play a Mega Man game without being in mid-jump while going through the boss doors.

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
In Zoo Tycoon Two, I would spend a lot of time finding ways to torture the zoo guests.
Throwing them to crocodiles, releasing the dinosaurs when there's guests everywhere!~
And sometimes I would turn off the guests altogether, ignore that it was a zoo making game, and build mazes out of the hedge fences to get lost in.
Oh, and in Roller Coaster Tycoon 3, it was fun to get the dune buggy and crash into people!
I'd also build dune buggy courses to drive through!

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
It wasn't a personal experience, but I was there. A mate playing DayZ died, and when he respawned he came back as a wild NPC bird.... All he could do was fly around the map aimlessly.

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
In the first Tomb Raider game, swim the other way of a waterfall. In the part where it goes down Lara will fly up to the roof repeatedly until you stop holding the swim button

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
In the Sim games I often had fun by making rooms detached from the main house and putting fireplaces and such in there turning them on and luring unsuspecting sims over and deleting the door.
Lol, though in the end it wasn't very good for my sims mental health due to all the ghost waking them up and scaring them. But I suppose at that point I was pretty bored with the game either way.
Though I think that's what people do in most sim games lol, like Simcity was always fun to blow up your city after you spent so much time making it.
I suppose another one is that I played Farming Simulator. *End of joke* lol kidding, it wasn't really such a bad game it was entertaining for a while at least.

Re: Strangest things you've ever done in a video game
Oh, I would while hours away in Sim City doing the stupidest stuff.
I would put coal power plants next to all the residential areas, then put my own Mayor's house on a little island with three casinos.

Seriously? Must have been a server mod of some variety, or the server admin hated him. Worst thing I've seen on that game was when out of nowhere everyone in a server started doing Gangnam Style. everyone. Also, being randomly teleported out the map / 2KM up in the air without a parachute.

Eating Mushrooms in Mother 3. Omg I was so high
