Hm, random question: do people here have a preference regarding kanji abuse? This song just has the one 宇宙(うみ) in it, so I went ahead and included it, but it's been so long since I've actually thought about it that I figured I'd ask. (My typical practice in the past has been to just remove all the readings.)

I leave pretty much if not all the bracketed readings from the source. In my eyes, it can't hurt if it's something you can't really guess without the reading (especially when the reading is not really related to the kanji meaning). Then again, if it has kanji [lyrics] on this site it'll have romaji with it, so the bracketed readings are unnecessary if you've dealt with that in the romanisation.

I tend to leave the bracketed kana/furigana if it's a nonstandard reading or otherwise ambiguous how it should be read, but if a song has sort of unnecessary/redundant furigana then I omit them. But that's my opinion as a submitter, not as an admin--you can do as you prefer with this, there's no official line.
