Depends where you are from, I live in Sweden so there is alot of Swedish online-stores where I can buy anime and get it delivered fast.
Re: How do you buy your anime stuff?
in finland there's only one real anime store, and the funny thing is that they actually specialize in boardgame rpgs, cards (magic the gathering and such) and warhammer figurines. Anime and manga are just a side business to them. Well, for anime figurines and everything else anime-related merchandise there's another shop, but they don't sell any anime and manga, so you can't even get everything you need under the same roof. Of course there's online stores, but I imagine the postal fees would cost almost as much the products itself.
Re: How do you buy your anime stuff?
I usually like to get them online because there is more choice. But in my local town they have a little section of anime DVD's in HMV. In Nottingham they have a whole store of anime DVD's, Manga's, How to draw books... and everything. I'd love to go there again :D
Re: How do you buy your anime stuff?
Usually go to the mall, which they have many DVDs,but their high.
Re: How do you buy your anime stuff?
I look online or at Animeniacs, the local anime store, when I actually want something anime related. I mostly watch stuff my housemate gets and don't really buy much myself.

oh wow how much are the anime dvds at the mall?
Re: How do you buy your anime stuff?
Most of them online. Main reason because there is not a BIG variety of anime stuff around here. The closest Best Buy is apparently never re-stocked with new stuff; so as the FYE, although they do have a lot of miscellaneous stuff like souvenirs and Japanese stuff like candy. In the end, I always end up buying my stuff online.
Re: How do you buy your anime stuff?
For me, anime "stuff" only includes DVD's, not collectibles and whatnot.
Here where I live, anime is not that popular, so there aren't a lot of places to get anime from. And Japanese isn't popular either, so most of the anime sold is dubbed.
I only know one small DVD shop who sells anime in Japanese (with English subs). And that's where I get them from.

I tend to buy my anime stuff online with a prepaid credit card that that gets refilled every once in a while.

I use ebay and I once went to this place which I forget the name (animefuel?) because I don't know squat about places that sell anime/manga. There are the usual video stores that might have some, but not all. Oh and Fry's Electronics. That place is like home away from home.
Re: How do you buy your anime stuff?
Mall! The mall's everything. Sometimes ebay.
Re: How do you buy your anime stuff?
Define 'stuff.'
I get toys an' such at random stores, sometimes FYE, but I download all my shows *ashamed*
Re: How do you buy your anime stuff?
I buy my manga, dvds, and other anime accessories at Borders, my t-shirts at Hot Topic, and I watch/read some anime/manga online
Re: How do you buy your anime stuff?
I don't buy much in the way of Anime stuff, but if I wanted to, Hastings has a bunch. I know they've got stores in the Texas panhandle, dunno about other regions. Kind of like Borders, Gamestop, and Best Buy all in one. Well, sorta. Anyway, otherwise, I'd go to amazon or ebay, or...hmm...
I ordered Bleach Heat the Soul 6 for my PSP from an ebay seller, and I see play-asia.com has plenty of games. estarland.com has a bunch of anime stuff, and from what I can tell, it's the site for Starland, which is a physical store in the DC metro area.
