I am explaining this to you only in the hopes of making it clear to you how incredibly important it is that you learn to read kanji and kana if you seriously care about learning Japanese. Do not take my response as an indication that I am open to continuing this discussion and being persuaded to see things your way. I am not going to give in on this, so please do not continue trying to argue me into passing you when you don't have the most basic level of Japanese knowledge that translation requires.

"I don't know kanji so of course I won't be able to do this test in the first place! ... I know i copied the test results but that's because I literally can't do the test."

Why do you think we have such a test in the first place? It's because the ability to transliterate and translate those characters successfully represents the bare minimum level of competence that we require submitters to have. If you cannot take the test yourself, then your Japanese is not good enough to submit translations to this site. Full stop.

You can't translate based on romaji. Japanese has A LOT of homophones, or words that sound exactly the same, that are distinguished only by the kanji they use. If you can't read the kanji, how can you know if, for example, "kakeru" means "to bet," "to run," "to be missing," or "to hang"? You might think it would be obvious from context, but in song lyrics, which frequently feature unusual imagery and language usage, that really, REALLY is not always the case.
