Not all the anime I watch is scifi...Negima, Record Lodoss War, Ghost Stories...it just seems that a majority of anime falls in the scifi genre. It intersets me in the different stories that can be told though some of the more recent anime seem to follow the same trends. It helps me come up with ideas of possible stories in my head. Its hard finding a story that hasnt been done before, so watching a lot of different types of shows help in finding out what works and what doesn't. If that makes sense? Plus, you can probably find a lot of anime on Amazon for sale cheap..I justify my Hulu budget as 3 months = one anime purchase. lol What kind of anime are you into?

Trust me I know about embarrassing artwork....that's how I feel about most of my stuff. lol Mark Crilley is an awesome guy and loves helping aspiring artist get better as well. Hulu+ is $7.99 a month like Crunchy Roll $6.99 p/mnth is a small price for what you get, plus I use Hulu for other shows too like Castle and Dexter...lol. I love all kibds of anime my favorite is Macross/Robotech and Detonator Orgun, older stuff like Dominion Tank Police, Black Magic, Gal Force, Riding Bean, Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, Space Battleship Yamoto, The Dirty Pair, Gunbuster, Dangaioh...that's just the tip of iceberg.

You should post some of your artwork. Its a good way to get feedback on how to improve on your style or technique. You can also get ideas and help on Youtube, I subscribe to Mark Crilley's channel...super nice guy met him at Akon Dallas and really talented too. Hulu to my surprise has some really good anime titles mostly subbed too. I like it for watching anime...Im thinking of subscribing to Crunchy Roll as well. Ive read some of the manga on MangaFox and liked it..didnt know there was an anime for it. "Date Alive" is good too.

Ha..thanks for the kind words. I tend to be more traditional with drawing...just plain pencils and paper. Some drawings I'll touch up on pc...nothing fancy, just clean up and digital ink maybe color but rarely. Do you like drawing? As for anime I like....I love humor and good story plots. The one series I just got thru watching on Hulu which I thought was hilarious was "The Devil is a part-timer" - I could not stop laughing. But I'll give any series a try.

I like your profile picture alot. I only recognize the bottom character...Miku Hatsune am I correct? I like to watch Vocaloid and Nightcore videos of her alot.

Well in Japan it officially started, but it's still the the 25th here. Anyway I celebrate by listening to her songs~

She's from the IdolM@ster games. Never played them. I believe there's an anime made based on it.
