Favorite Final Fantasy

Out of the two I've played (VII and VIII, with X waiting for me as I type this), I think I'll give it to VII only because it introduced me to the rpg genre as a whole.

VI and VIII are my favs.

VI simply for Kefka. Greatest villian that ever existed. xD Looking past the fact that he's a dark Clown prince.
VIII cause it's got a wonderfully twisted story with plenty of action, comedy and romance. I've owned it since it came out and I'm *still* finding new things out about it, even today.

VII's become a dead beaten horse...and people are still kicking it...'_'
IX was good, almost on the same level as VIII, but I didn't really like the chibis.
X the totally TB battle system turned me off kinda.
XI You had to pay for it every month after having to put $50 down on the game itself.... 'nuff said.
XII was good-but-the battle system lacked interactivity. Sad when you get into a battle and can just throw the controller down and walk away till its done.
XIII have yet to play it, but I haven't heard a lot great about it either.

I'm sorry, but whoever's favorite is VIII I just don't understand you. I found it horrible annoying. I hated the magic system and having your party follow you around annoyed me.

VII was amazing, and it will continue to be my favorite of the series. The storyline was awesome, the characters real, battles fun.

IV is very good, and I think it was the one that started the "jobs" that came later in Tactics. I just wish events made more sense (how did Yang stop the cannon exploding in the tower of Bab-il by killing himself?). I like how the party changes, and the casualties.

IX was good. The battle system was very similar to VII, which had its pros and cons. I loved Vivi! I didn't beat the game, but I could see the storyline was heading somewhere I didn't like.

Tactics had an iffy storyline, but I love the job system. It's like you're never done. The drawbacks to it are the fact that battles take 30+ mins and you can still get your butt kicked even with levels maxed

I tend to never use magic that much in the FF games....Or the espers/summons/aeons/GFs for that matter. the Magic in FF in general annoys me...I rely mostly on physical attacks. And sunsequently, I liked having the party follow Squall around cause I could be a loon and have them have conversations while he moved around on the screen. x3

My favs were I, II, III, and XII.

No matter what anybody says, Final Fantasy VII will always be my favorite. Great storyline, awesome characters, pretty good graphics(for the mist part), and the story even went on in Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus, and Crisis Core.

VII is my favorite because it also introduced me into the whole RPG genre and is the game that made me fall in love with Final Fantasy, also the story of VII has got to be the greatest, and as a poet that is a big thing for me =D
