Game suggestions

If you have suggestions/preferences for improving the wolf game they can go here!

My first idea is allowing people to post during the night phase. In previous versions people were doing this all the time and will most likely continue to do so. Why not make it official? I know that restriction promotes order and all but it might be more fun. Also, I know it conflicts with the story, but I think not allowing the dead to speak is awful xD. There have been some great posts that come from deceased players and I think even though it may confuse people I think it's worth it for them to continue to be part of the game.

One more suggestion is every so often the host could choose any random player with a good voting record and allow that person to have a one time special ability - power of the seer, healer, or assassin - that the player could use at any time. It's more work for the host depending on how many people they decide to give it to, but potentially makes for a more exciting game.

Hmm, I don't know. I think the main reason for no posting during night phase is to keep the thread from being thought of as a SPAMMING thread. Also, since it is not a "Post Game" it is limited to the 200 post closure rule. Plus, it can get alittle insane for the host to deal with monitoring it during night phase and day phase.
Even I'll admit, yes there have been some hilarious post from the beyond,, but once again, there is the 200 post closure rule for non-Post Game threads. Having hosted myself, it can be quite difficult just keeping track of the day phase posts. After all, you have tallying to keep up with, vote changes, and just the general chatter we windup posting in the game. It can be quite alot, cause then the host MUST read every single post. Plus, I would imagine the other reason for not letting the dead post ingame is so players will message them outside the thread. After all, a townie can trust another townie if it's PROVEN the one was a townie, right?

The reason you're not supposed to post during the Night Phase is because you are supposed to be "asleep". The only people "awake" should be people with "night actions". Also, as The Rebel said, it keeps everything neat. As much fun as it may be to have the dead talking, it makes it harder for the host, who usually simply wants to find the meaningful posts and tally them up.

I think I'm going to institute a "good-faith" rule that disallows anyone from getting information from a dead player. This kind of thing could potentially break the game, especially if you start hounding a dead Wolf to tell you the names of the rest of the Wolves.

As for giving the Town more power, there's actually a delicate balance that's struck between power roles and Wolves. I really don't want to make the Wolf's job any harder than it already is.

Actually, what I was saying was the special ability could be given to any random player, including wolves. If 25% of the players are wolves and the host decided to give out a special ability to five players with a good voting record during the game, the host would make sure at least 1 to 2 wolves are included so the balance of power is not lost, but the host would need to include night phase voting for wolves as well as day time. What I'm suggesting is not a shift in balance of power but rather to increase the power seen in the game.

Can we make a lulzy dying words post if we're killed if it has no spoilers or anything in it?
I've seen those in the past and they can be downright hilarious.

I do have ONE suggestion. If you are among the deceased, you may ONLY post if you are posting a tally, AND ONLY when there has not been a tally recently posted. But this would be totally up to the host of course.
