Just released in SZ (China). New iPad clones run Android 2.2 / Windows 7 with "decent" hardware equal to iPad, supporting Flash 10.1 and multitasking.

8" Android 2.2 aPad - 1GHz Cortex A8 Processor - 512MB DDR2 (http://www.vostrostone.com/8-android-22-tablet-cortex-a8-1ghz-cpu-512mb-ddr2-p-203.html)

10.1" Windows 7 ePad - 1.66GHz Atom N455 - 2GB DDR3 - 32GB SSD (http://www.vostrostone.com/101-win7-tablet-atom-n455-2gb-ddr3-32gb-ssd-p-206.html)

Any reviews, discussion on those? I have laid my money down and waiting for the courier to show up. Been burnt before and not holding my breath, but as an ebook reader and wifi surfer?

I don't own either, and I haven't played with any of them except for the ipad, but I'd rather get the android tab that's coming out/came out. I'm not sure when that is. It's an actual phone, and it does all kinds of stuff the other two do.

If the aPad has a working Java for the chatroom, It has me. lol. it's looks good because of the usb ports. looks like the battery's gonna suck though. i like the ipad though, but it's just a huge ipod >.>;

First off: when is China going to make anything that isn't a complete ripoff of another product both in design AND IN NAME?

Secondly: given the choice, I would actually buy the aPad - although really, I don't know what I would want either for considering they're both the size of a laptop ... and really, my laptop can do everything they can do (besides the touch-screen stuff).

-.-

I grabbed a couple aPads myself as they were fairly cheap.
They did pretty much everything I wanted them for: couch web browsing, movies on the go, TV guide, eBook reader etc, but if wanting to get serious use out of these kinds of things I would recommend the iPad for one reason. App support.
Until more developers start making apps for more than just iOS, other devices carry that disadvantage...

But yeah, aPads do all the basics quite well, just means you won't be playing the latest games or using a good percentage of the newest apps on them.

iPad sucked from day 1.
It can do what an iPhone can, unlty with less features, you can't call with it, you can't fit it in your pocket, it's REALLY expensive and YOU DON'T NEED IT.

The Android however is already better, this one has usb inputs that make it better already, and it's cheaper. What's even better, it supports Java, making it a laptop without a keyboard. That's something I would buy.

My vote is for Android.

Android is better, but as long as there's mindless tweens who get their parents to buy an i-somethingthat'llbeoutdatedinamonth for them, it won't receive enough support.

It can all be summarized in this video, courtesy of our friends at YouTube:

That will be all.
