Has anything happened today (or recently) that made you facepalm either irl or online? The last facepalm I had was at my uncle when he typed his email in the google searchbar to check it. Needless to say it didn't work.

I was at the pharmacy yesterday to get some naratriptan for my mother and this large woman had been standing at the cashier for almost 20 minutes. She kept groping and rubing her thigs and kept asking about where she could get recepies for a herbal supliment that needed no recepie. She didn't understand that they could only be ordered and was topdancing around why the wouldn't sell them to her. She was pretty ridiculous to say the least.

I think my moment today was when every major regular channel (ie abc/cbs/nbc) broke in at about noon to say that the defense in the Rob Blago case(yeah big in Chicago I guess, don't care though) had just rested their case. At first I thought it was going to be a verdict, why else would you break away from programming? Then I thought "surely this should only take a few minutes." I was very wrong as a half hour passed by. Good thing I have cable!

Jobseeking, walking all over town to hand out CV's
Last CV left, see an upper-class restaurant, decide to give it a shot
Woman in there who appears to be the manager asking me lots of questions, my responses get positive reactions
She accepts my CV and asks me to return tomorrow to pick up an application form

Today:
Walk inside restaurant, ask for an application form
Barman disappears, different woman returns, she informs me they're not hiring
I explain the events of yesterday
She pouts, raises her brow and says "well, I'M the manager, and we're not hiring"
I say "thanks" and walk out

I wouldn't mind, but I had to travel out of my way to get there and I had made the effort to dress smart. Life can be tough at the bottom of the ladder...
