I think the last book I finished was the Catcher in the Rye, By J. D. Salinger. It's a very interesting book, with an average story I would say, but I enjoyed it. I don't see why Mark Chapman would kill John Lennon because of the book, but sure. Whatever floats his boat.

The last book that I finished was American Terrorist: Timothy McVeigh and the Oklahoma City Bombing

I found it to be a well written book written by someone who has clearly researched Tim McVeigh to a degree that most people have not. The book is a product of many interviews with Tim himself and is the only book that Timothy McVeigh approved of himself about himself. This book is not exclusively about the bombing and has a lot of information on Tim's life before the events and shows how he went from highly decorated Gulf war hero to being on trial for terrorism. Anyone who is interested in a detailed biography of McVeigh or in the bombing should not miss this book.

The last book I finished was "Fledgling", by Octavia E. Butler. It's a good book, and I've gone back and re-read it several times, always finding new things and details in the story I missed beforehand. I've got "A Lesson Before Dying" to read next, but I usually finish a book in a day, so I might have to make a library run before long.

My thoughts haven't quite settled down yet, but I think I may end up preferring it to the anime. I can tell that if I didn't know what was going to happen it would have been much more intriguing, and I think the 1930 arc at least works better linear rather than non. It's a real pity 1931 hasn't been translated yet (as far as I know), I want to hear Ladd and Claire being insane. ):
