English VAs have never been able to do it for me (unless it's for animated films). Personally, I think they all sound the same. The guys' voices never seem to match the characters, and the girls all sound squeaky and high-pitched. And I die a little inside everytime someone buchers the pronunciation of Japanese names/phrases (and believe me, most of them do. Although, to be fair, I do cringe when Japanese VAs try to speak in English as well).
